Do you believe that the Bible contradicts itself?  Can you cite specific examples?

Many people seem to accept as a given that there are contradictions in the Bible, yet I have never found one.  Can you cite a specific example in which the Bible clearly contradicts itself?

No the bible itself cant contradict itself. The reader that has limited knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, contradicts the bible, plain and simple. Here are a few that seem contradictory, but are easily explained with a sensible explanation....SEE IF YOU can figure them out.....I have.. Good luck or I should say God speed.

    1).Who will bear whose burden?
    (a) “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2)
    (b) “Each man will have to bear his own load” (Galatians 6:5)

2).How many disciples did Jesus appear to after his resurrection?
    (a) Twelve (I Corinthians 15:5)
    (b) Eleven (Matthew 27:3-5 and Acts 1:9-26, see also Matthew 28:16; Mark 16:14 footnote; Luke 24:9;
    Luke 24:3 3)

3).Where was Jesus three days after his baptism?
    (a) After his baptism, “the spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. And he was in the
wilderness forty days ... (Mark 1:12-13)
    (b) Next day after the baptism, Jesus selected two disciples. Second day: Jesus went to Galilee - two
more disciples. Third day: Jesus was at a wedding feast in Cana in Galilee (see John 1:35; 1:43; 2:1-11)

4).Was baby Jesus’ life threatened in Jerusalem?
    (a) Yes, so Joseph fled with him to Egypt and stayed there until Herod died (Matthew 2:13 23)
    (b) No. The family fled nowhere. They calmly presented the child at the Jerusalem temple according to
the Jewish customs and returned to Galilee (Luke 2:21-40)

5).When Jesus walked on water how did the disciples respond?
    (a) They worshipped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God” (Matthew 14:33)
    (b) “They were utterly astounded,

The Bible is the living word.  By living, it means it has higher heights and deeper depths, and new levels of understanding can always be found at each re-reading.
When people witness something and make a testimony to it, often times their perspectives are limited by where they were standing, what they were privy to hear, and even their personal level of education that allows them to relay what they saw.  Contradictions, as some call them, are simply different perspectives, different positions, different knowledges of the same events and happenings.  It doesn't make any more credible or unworthy - just a bit different.
The main thing always, is the "hub" - The Father sent His Only Begotten Son into the world to die and be resurrected for the salvation of the world.
All the rest is summed up in Titus 3:9.
'But avoid foolish questions, genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.'

That verse is speaking of avoiding arguments about the Jewish law. You can't rightfully use it to hide behind your lack of answers.

I myself have been guilty of accusing the bible for self contradiction only to be put in the awkward dumb face when asked to be specific.  What we should be saying is that people that take the bible literally contradict IT.  Christians love to harp on the idea that Gay marriage is a sin.  Well, most of the christians I know are well groomed, and in the same book that cites homosexuality as an abomination, it does the same for cutting your hair or beard.  Things of that nature are where the "contradictive" aspect come from.

God created Adam and Eve they had 2 children Cain and Abel one dies the other marries a girl... Adam and Eve did not concieve that child.... so god did not create all living beings on earth. god was happy with what he created then later he grieves and repents of his creation. the bible also says god dwells in the light and later say that he dwells in thick darkness. There a lot more than that.

The bible doesn't contradict itself. One has to understand that what was made in the old covenant changes when Jesus was born and died for the sins of mankind only to be raised and will soon return. It use to be in righteousness man had to go to a priest and bring some livestock for the priest to make the sacrifice of that livestock by the shedding of its blood to atone for the man's sins. Because Jesus was crucified for the sins of man, there is no more atonement with the killing of animals. The blood has been shed once and for all - if you believe.

If you are looking for a contradiction - it isn't one actually yet those that don't understand think it is.
