Can a drug addict survive a recovery beings they have been doing this for 20+ years?
There is no reason for an addict not to survive recovery no matter how long they have been addicted. Persons who are physically addicted to alcohol or other depressant drugs may not suvive abrupt cessation of use, but if they are gradually withdrawn, there is no reason for them not to survive recovery. Beyond simply surviving, recovery is always possible regardless of how long a person has been addicted. In fact. most addicts do recoverin later life if they didn't when younger, although some do remain addicted into old age.
There is always hope for addicts that need it. Look at it this way" There is no where to go but up!" I was a heavy heroin/cocaine user for 15 years and got turned around very successfully.

Do you believe that once addicted, always addicted?Whether alcohol, drugs, gambling or any addiction, when you stop the act of your addiction, does that mean you are cured or is it arrested as long as replaced by something else? Please don't confuse obsession with addiction.

Do you feel sorry for a Drug Addict? It is never always the same for anyone. A drug addict can be picked on or won't be judged at all. Do you think a drug addict is a weak person for turning to such a bad habit?
