Fellow citizens were you better off in 2006 before the democrats won both houses in congress?

The general election in november of 2006 ,the democrats took over congress from the republicans in both houses.  By the end of 2007 the economy was going down. The last 2 years of the  president bush'
s administration the dems were in charge . The crash in 2008 was created by high oil prices, unemployment, food prices and the housing market .

You mean there was no President during this period...LOL! If we had republcan houses would you be complaining that there were too many democratic mayors and the economic problems were caused at the city level?

The buck stops with the party that controls congress. Talk about a scary thought - "The last 2 years of President Bush's administration the dems were in charge." I always thought the President was in charge.

You mean do I want the party of can't rather than the party of no.  They are both more interested in the next election that in you or me.  I think they all need to go home.  We need new ideas and they don't have any.

To be honest I was worse off in 2006. Since '06 I've received my MBA and have jumped two job levels making 75% more then I was in 2006.

None of that means that the next couple of years will be better for me and my taxes then they are now.

There is no difference between Democrat and Republican.  They all waste our tax dollars and new improved government bills that are supposed to give them more tax dollars to waste.
