I do still have faith in our republic, but my nervousness is growing daily. It was utterly SHAMEFUL the lengths to which the progressives were willing to blatantly BRIBE their own dem friends to secure theuir votes for healthcare. Those people are elected to represent US, not THEMSELVES!!!

Our current system is Ok, but true democratic system would be better.  We have had the technology for years now to "Change" into a true democracy versus a representative democracy while greatly increasing the number of participating voters.

How to create real change in voting PLUS giving independent candidates a real chance? Answer is the kind of “hope & change” that you are NOT likely to see from current leadership.

Answer is to develop and deploy a solid web based voting system. I have been wondering for years why this technological advancement has yet to be used? We have it for our bank accounts… we have it secure enough for our retirement and brokerage accounts…we even have it good enough for the IRS to accept e-filing of taxes and for them to send us refunds electronically via direct deposit…http://hubpages.com/hub/Voting-in-America-a-problem-online

A representative democratic republic, with complete freedom of political speech, IS the "new" system of governance. Never before in the history of the world has a the common, "little" man had such opportunity for equality. Our Founding Fathers were reasoned, thoughtful, intelligent men who well knew the danger of a large overbearing government, and the potential tyranny of an unfettered pure democracy.

Granted, the democrat party and its leftist allies have been systematically ignoring whole sections of constitutional law where voter's rights are concerned, for over a century. But it's still the best system created thus far.

OK. You'll want examples: Southern democrats and their democrat endorced KKK members instituted "poll testing" to keep blacks from voting. Democrats fought hard and bitterly to keep women from getting the vote. In the 2000 presidential election, democrats attempted to disregard Florida election laws and demand recounts well after the date required, because their recounts kept showing George Bush had won.
In the  2008 presidential elections, ACORN members nationwide perpetrated the biggest vote-fraud scheme in US history, resulting in hundreds of arrests. The Democrat Party has established its own, easily manipulated "Super Delegate" system to circumvent the much fairer Constitutional guidelines for choosing their candidates. I can sight dozens more democrat attempts at cheating, both failed ans successful, if you need.

Despite all of that democrat electioneering and vote-fraud, we will still see the left lose dozens of seats this November. I have faith in America, and the systems which made her the Greatest Nation on Earth.

Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others
