1. How can we be sure that the Bible as we have it today has NOT BEEN contaminated by man?
...
2. Can one accurately explain why there are discrepancies between translations, e.g. KJV vs NIT,
NEV, NAV, viz. a viz. 1 John 5:7, 1 Timothy 3:16, Revelation 1:11, ETC.?
3. To what extent has Greek philosophy, Platonism, Neo-Platonism etc. Babylonish teachings etc. influenced the teachings of Christendom? [Trinity, immortal soul, hell-fire, etc.]
4. How has Augustine, and others influenced doctrines today?
5. How has Constantine influenced or affected religious thought, and who were Arius, and Lucian of Antioch?
6. Why was the Divine Name omitted from MOST of todays Bibles?
Through study of the Bible in its original languages, there is no corruption. It's the interpretations of those who add to, take away from or change the interpretation, based on the translated language and/or opinions that corrupt the Bible through false teaching. These are called "doctrines of men".
You have asked a whole series of questions that could keep a theology student busy for a long time. In terms of having a surety that the Bible as we have it has NOT BEEN contaminated, much depends on whether a person subscribes to the doctrine of preseveration (The doctrine that God preserved his word in tact and literally) .
When a person does not believe in preseveration, then the door is open to distortion of many aspects of the Bible. This also leads to debates of whether God preserved his word literally or figuratively. If a person does not believe in preseveration, then they can not be sure that what they are calling a Bible is divine in nature.
When a person holds to preseveration, then they can rest assured that the Bible they have has been preserved.
In terms of archeological evidence, when the fragments of Isaiah found alongside the Dead Sea scrolls were compared to various translations, one stood out from the others as being preserved. Over the years, many men have attempted altering the Bible to meet the fashionable fads of the times in which they lived. some, like Thomas Jefferson actually cut out the portions that he found offensive. Serious Bible scholars can do the research and discover which of the versions currently in use have been accurately preserved.
Read my Article on 'The Holy Bible'. There is proof. I plan on exploring that very topic too.
The Bible was written by man and I don't believe it was divinely inspired. Through the Old and New Testament, God condones genocide, slavery, rape, and blood sacrifice.
The key to remember is that whether or not eh Bible has been contaminated is that the message is still the same. The Bible is the story Jesue, how He came to be and why He was sent. So the basic theme is that of which Jesus lived his life. L-O-V-E. That is all that really matters in the Bible. People may have perverted the words and meanings to corrupt and gain power from them, but they could not change the theme of the story, otherwise the book would not exist, people would simply not read it.
Sadly I do believe that the Bible, along with many modern translations of ancient texts has been perverted. But as I said, if you read it for the teachings of Christ, and take the wordiness of it with a grain of salt than you will find treasure there nonetheless.

Here of late, I've run across several people (online & offline) that were spouting that only the King James Version of the Holy Bible contains the absolute truth. Even though the beloved dogma and ancient writings claiming to be inspired by the almighty God himself, it still has to be...
