How we can restore peace in the world today?

We are heading towards III world war and every one is blaming other for world problems. What ever position as a citizen you are holding what can you do in your own abilities to restore peace in the world? For example if you are a doctor, an engineer, a consumer or a tradesman what can you do?

There has never been peace.  People always find something to war about.  Religion is one of the major reasons.  But also, due to the proclivity of the human species to breed without thought of consequence, wars for territory and resources are also a biggie.

Not going to be any "Star Trek" Federation unless it is more along the lines of the empires of the past.  And they eventually collapse, begetting new ones after varying periods of collapse and chaos.

    Nothing to do.

I think it all comes down to Maslow's Theory of the Hierarchy of Needs. Various people in various parts of the world are at different levels in terms of their levels of subsistence, success, security, stability, etc.  These or the lack of them play into the behavior and the priorities of those people. Stir in some religion and the fires get even hotter. Fanaticism in any form is gravely dangerous. Given that premise, how do you get all the people on the same page and at the same level?  Some might say that this is the virtue of socialism or communism...taking from the masses and redistributing to the masses so all are equal. Idealistically it sound utopian but realistically, it is a long-term disaster in the making.  There is no viable way to bring all people of the world to the same level thus all we can hope to do is keep them as far from each other as possible and pay they do not embrace an agenda of greed or hatred.  WB

A tough question.  Personally I think the only way forward is to understand principles of human psychology and development. This helps understand why conflicts of interest are unresolved and lead to wars. This knowledge can help all human beings learn how to manage conflicts. There has to be the will power or some form of enforcement to those who understand and decide not to comply. In short,  global education might give a solution.
