If all parties are happy with the situation, as long as they wish. The operative words are "all" and "happy." Once either of these two words are no longer being met, and the adults are financially stable, it's time to test those wings.
I agree...if there are no problems and everyone is happy with the situation then it's cool. However, I do feel that if adult children are staying at home then they should help out around the house and with the finances. At some point parents should stop supporting their children financially. I once knew someone who stayed at home with his mother. He worked and paid the mortage for her. It didn't make sense for him to go out and get another place to stay.
If they are contributing and helping out it would benefit the family. I agree.
