Should Abortion Be Illogical Unless Permitted By A Qualified Doctor?, or, Should Abortion Be...
Totally Illegal Come Rain or Shine?
There is nothing illogical about abortion.
It's not unusual for animals to terminate their young AFTER birth if the situation demands; to reject their offspring, so is what we're doing so very different?
We have a global problem with the ever increasing size of the population and since it's evident that we can't fight the cause of unwanted pregnancies, then we have suffer the consequences.
It may sound brutal, but since we can't prevent people having sex, we can't prevent all unwanted pregnancies either.
Legalising abortion was a smart move to prevent back street abortionists not only terminating the foetus, but in some cases, the mother too.
Unless you can stop people having sex--and I think you'd have more luck sweeping air into a heap or herding cats, you will always have a need for termination.
Hello Nick,
Sorry I made a typing error (it happens) in this question that completely changed the meaning. The Question should read like this:
Should Abortion Be illegal Unless Permitted By A Qualified Doctor?, or, Should Abortion Be Totally illegal Come Rain or Shine?
Regards, and bye for now.
Illogical in many situations i believe yes.
because if a child is still in the womb of a mother when that mother might be murdered is considered 2 murders yet a docter can do it for money and it's legal
feel free to argue againest that though
No, abortion shouldn't be illegal. While I don't agree with it in most cases and it will never be a part of my own life, history unequivocally shows us that making it illegal will do nothing to prevent abortions, but it will make sure that no one seeking an abortion will receive qualified care. When it was illegal in the past, many women died from failed "at-home" abortion procedures, and many unborn babies suffered horrible maiming and much slower deaths through slipshod abortion techniques. Many women and girls who did not die from the procedures were still left sterile or maimed themselves afterward. Just like many other things, if a woman really wants an abortion she's going to get one, one way or another...and if she can't find a technique she's comfortable with, there's always the possibility she'll abandon the baby to die directly after birth.
I wrote a hub about abortion -- I termed it reproductive health choice. There are lots of reasons why women resort to abortion, some are life threatening, or incest, due to rape or unpreparedness -- financially and emotionally, and the father is unknown.
Induced abortion is the number one cause of deaths among married women of the reproductive ages, specially in developing countries, whether it is legal or not it happens anyway in a clandestine manner. To my opinion, it should be made legal but should not be used as contraception and should be approved by a well trained medical practitioner.
Surely unless procedure is carried out by a qualified doctor or medical practioner then it is illegal anyway.
In Uk you have to get permission by 2 Dr's usually one being your G.P where you have to give valid reason to justify your intention & the 2nd Dr. the one who will preform the surgery on the day.
As for ruling abortion illegal then it will only become a back street affair once agian.
I understand that people might not agree, but I am afraid to say unless you have ever been in that position and actually been able to go through with it how on earth can anyone comment either way?
I believe that it is an individual's right to choose.

Presently, a woman has, by law, the freedom to end her pregnancy. After all, its her life and her body. Is this issue, free-choice abortion, a matter of politics? Social science/politics is about what is good for society as a whole. Is abortion good or bad in the light of what is best for...

On the news tonight were pictures of "protests" outside the homes of 6 (only 6) of the nine Supreme Court Justices. I had heard that was happening but had not seen confirmation of more than a handful of people. This is very much against federal law; protests attempting to intimidate...

If abortion is outlawed, should women that smoke and drink when pregnant be considered criminals?Anti-abortion activists want the legal choice of a woman to have an abortion taken away. I don't understand how people want to make that choice illegal but the legal choice of a pregnant woman smoking a...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8076253.stmMan, dead over abortion. I thought we were out of the darkages. This is what happens when people stop talking. This is what happens when people forget to live like people. Abortion is a right and it is protected by law. ...
