Decorating with paint allows the most flexibility for change, and if you have the skills to do it yourself, painting can be inexpensive. You can paint your bedroom in a weekend, for instance, so you can change the color of the walls as often as you like.

    1. Protect the furnishings. Remove all the small items from the dressers by either putting them in the drawers or putting them in a box.

    2. Start with the trim. Paint the trim first, using a two-inch brush with an angled tip.

    3. Roll the walls. Start in the same place where you started painting the trim and work around the room in the same direction.

    4. Add a second coat of paint after the first has dried thoroughly.

    5. Reassemble the room. Let the paint dry overnight before putting the furniture back.

Make sure to use painters tape to get a sharp paint line, also use primer on the walls before painting them, it is best to cover the floors to protect them from spills and always start at the top of the wall leaving a little room from the ceiling as you paint downward in the same direction of the grain, it may be best to have a painting party, the more hands the quicker the job will get done.

It actually depends. Since you are panting for your daughter's nursery, you can try painting the colours she liked. Of course it might not be the best but it would be great if she liked it smile

Make sure everything is taped up and covered over before you start painting. Open the windows and start painting high and work your way down, and of coarse wear old clothes. Good luck.

Nurseries are so much fun to decorate! There is such a wide variety of decorating accessories to choose from these days.

It sounds like you have a pretty clear direction as to what colors you want to use in the room, but you might want to read this hub on Selecting Paint Colors.
