is there any point asking a question when the usual suspects flood the question board with drivel...

thus condemning serious questions to a black hole never to be seen again.

This facility seems to be pointless and swamped by about 4 people askign the most inane questions (the thickness of baking foil??).

I agree, the ?'s area seems to be flooded with ignorrance. It's frustrating when you do have a valid question and it is not addressed due to 'them'!

There is a lot of drivel, along with irrelevant, poorly worded, questions, statements where the authors expects us to be mind readers, gibberish questions written in text speak and other forms abreviation; and ambiguity where the reader expected to know what subject the author is referring to.
I answered an ambiguous question recently, the author asked about 'umbrella terms' so I answered using the terms required to refer to the use and mechanics of umbrellas.  Apparently this was wrong, the questioner asked about 'umbrella terms' obviously I was thinking of different terminology than the questioner.  I wonder what 'umbrella terms' are? :-)

I dunno, a lot of this stuff seems like one Google away from being answered.  Look, we all know why we ask and answer questions: to be involved in the community, and maybe spark some interesting conversations.

Others may view the Answers area as a Spam receptacle, thinking that it will drive visitors to their Hubs, and money to their Adsense accounts.  Got a problem with somebody's question? Don't click on it.

it's not the issue of clicking on a question it's how many of these spam type questions smother the front page and the decent questions get lost.
