Will God destory this marriage? Please read details before answering. Thank you so very much.
If a couple is unevenly yoked together in marriage, and they choose to work it out, one is in ministry and the other isn't ministry and the other isn't, will God destroy that marriage? I ask this because some prominate leaders in the gospel declare, God want this marriage destroyed for the betterment of advancing his kingdom. What does the bible really teach on this subject and is a person not in God's will for staying in this type of marriage? This is a question I wrestle with being in this situation as you read this. Please be encouraging and correct when providing answers. Thank you!
Its pretty arrogant to think that God interferes in the affairs of man. God gave life, its up to us what we do with it.
The Almighty all powerful God is not in need or dependent on your choices for his well-being. If his happiness and his well-being is dependent for all such decisions he must be more vulnerable than man. But God is not human and he the most powerful being there is, was and will be. And he cannot be hurt by anything we do.
God has given you free-will and unconditional love. He will not punished your choices. However, he will permit the natural consequence of your action to materialize. This may be good or bad.
Natural consequence of leaving behind and unhealthy relationship could result in happiness. God prefers that you make choices that would lead to your happiness and well-being.
If you look at all the answers that these people gave none of them quoted from God's own word the Bible. But let's see what Jehovah God say's about marriage in his own words.
let's first look at Gen 2:22-24 where it says; 22 And Jehovah God proceeded to build the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman and to bring her to the man.
23 Then the man said:
“This is at last bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh.
This one will be called Woman,
Because from man this one was taken.”
24 That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.
The only grounds for divorce in God's view is ADULTRY, as Jesus Christ stated when he was being questioned by the Pharisees about this very question and his answer can be found at Mathew 19:3-6 where he says: 3 And Pharisees came up to him, intent on tempting him and saying: “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife on every sort of ground?” 4 In reply he said: “Did YOU not read that he who created them from [the] beginning made them male and female 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh’? 6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together let no man put apart.
Come on nightwork4, if you aren't gonna be helpful don't even make an appearance. Obviously the questioner believes in God, so why be so rude?
Now to my answer, no, of course not. God is not in the business of destroying marriages. As the Bible so clearly states, God hates divorce. While Paul makes clear his thoughts on entering into marriage "unequally yoked," there is also the clear command to not leave your partner or forsake your marriage because of this. I'm concerned about your view of God, as it appears to me you see him as a bit vindictive and punishing. As a believer, I encourage you to see God as he really is: A loving and caring Father who wishes only the best for you. Granted, God's idea of what is best for us is often at odds with ours, but you can rest assured that God is not planning to "destroy" your marriage. If anything, he is planning on bringing it into full fruition, and making you equally yoked. At least, I do hope so. God bless.
never, he is faithfull enough to keep it, God doesnt like divorce so God will not do that.

As a Christian married man is it a sin to lust in my heart for my wife?On occasion I um pleasure myself thinking about her. I was wondering though. Am I committing a sin for lusting after her? It doesn't feel like it's wrong but I was wondering what my brothers and sisters in Christ might say.
