What are some good formats to use when publishing ebooks?
I think PDF is widely recognized as a good eBook format. You can use free tools like Open Office or download an addon for Microsoft Office to convert documents to PDF files.
I like to use PDF because it is "readable" by anyone with a computer. There are other formats that work well with specialized equipment, and software is available to convert from PDF to those formats if that is what you want to do.
Definitely use PDF as one of the format. It's the widest accepted ebook format online.
If you're publishing for e-readers, then ePub, Mobipocket, and Kindle are a few additional formats to consider.
I converted my recent book to PDF because that is what was required by the self-publisher I used.
Excellent info. I was wondering this, myself, although I have used PDF. It seems PDF is just simple and available.
the good format and in my opinion the best, is PDF format. because, it is easily downloadable after it has been puchased instantly.
