   You may be right!  But it seems things like bank, store and home robberies are increasing at a steady rate. And it doesn't matter where you live!

   Unfortunately, It's already happening. I lived 4 blocks from an home invasion. The men went in rob the house but when the police arrived the family reported that nothing was taken except the food out the kitchen. If this extention is not passed and due to the holiday season and people looking into their children watery eyes...What do you think will happen. Crime, Murder,Theft, Burglary, etc. will all be the next option for most. It's so sad but TRUE.

   With little employment opportunities and no unemployment benefits many have nothing to go on. It becomes more difficult for them to follow the rules of society and survive. Yes, some will find that they have to resort to crime or fraud to survive. They are also vulnerable to exploitation. The right to survive is a God given right.
   
   Actually there is plenty of money to go around for every one but groups representing the rich do not want to pay taxes to support the less fortunate who have no employment opportunities. Listen to the news and you will know which groups are protecting the rich. Should these groups take responsibility of increasing the crime rate? Should cutting the lifeline of the unfortunate ones be a crime by itself?

   Yes, I think crime will increase because of continued unemployment, but the type of crime might be different than bank robbery or house theft. There might be more scams, get rich quick schemes, or swindling vulnerable elders out what is left of their life savings. Fraud could become more worrisome than purse snatching. It is sad that the government didn't put the unemployed to work on public works projects when it was  obvious that the few new jobs offered will not employ the mass of unemployed. With the country's failing infrastructure, it would have been a good way to get some roads fixed and rapid rail built.
