Any quick-fix solutions on how to stop continuous coughing? I am back out of bed for the 6th/7th...
night in a row, very tired & drained, out of desperation I've drunk a bottle of wine yet still my cough wont let me sleep???
When I had the flu, I had to sleep sitting up. You really can go to sleep that way. At least I did! Good Luck!
Fishermens Friend often works for me. But your body is trying to get rid of the crap so some coughing is bound to occur.
Alcohol is not a good thing to take when ill. Drink lots of fluids though. Chicken soup is always a good fix when sick.
honey and lemon fresh or organic is best... I put it in warm water, like I microwave water a little then add them both. Great question by the way,
I usually drink a lot of water and try to get some sleep. I usually put two pillows on top of each other so that I will be able to breathe even if I have colds. You might want to eat several oranges a day so that you can replenish your vitamin C. It is best to stick with eating fruits rich in Vitamin C than to drink vitamin capsules. This way, the vitamins will have an effect on your body more. Good luck on your problem. Hope this answer helps.
Dry hacking coughs are a royal pain. Coughing is the bodys way to rid itself of germs and also sign of dehydration. Drink lots of water and sleep has always helped me thru such illnesses. Hope you recover soon.
I have found DXM (dextromethorphan) to be very helpful in eliminating non-productive coughs. The best I've found is the Robitussin cough gels, since those don't contain other active ingredients, because sometimes several gels are required.
If it's a productive cough, i.e. bringing up flem, I personally wouldn't take anything to stop it, since it is the body trying to get rid of the infection.
Another good option for coughs is codeine. However codeine is a narcotic and can be addictive. Cough medicines used to contain codeine regularly. But now it is usually prescription only. Although in some states/areas a pharmacist can sell cough syrups containing codeine at his or her discretion.
Licorice tea also helps some people.

What are some methods to stop skin picking?I've learned that compulsive skin picking (like dry skin and scabs) isn't the same as 'cutting' in the sense that the person in question isn't trying to hurt themselves. But it can still be a health concern if sores remain open and get infected. Is anyone...
