You can photos from elsewhere on the web? In that case you need to right-click on the photo and then copy the image location. Then insert a photo capsule in your hub and use the second tab on the left to import the photo. Paste the image location there and import the photo. As a last but important step you must provide attribution and the image license where needed.

simeon is correct. However crediting the person is often not enough. It is illegal to images off of someone's website and use them on your own unless you have explicit permission (either from the owner or if the owner actively shared it under a license).
Just because it's on the web doesn't mean it's free for the taking.

You should stick to places that let you use images for free. Sxc.hu is a good site for copyright free images, you just have to pay attention to what the photographer wants.

Use photobucket, they have tons of free photos on many subjects and all you have to do is drag and drop them onto your desktop. Good luck!!

Two great tools I use for capturing images and loading them on my site are:

Jing to capture pictures and Paint.net to resize the pictures.

Both are free applications.  You can go to You Tube and find tutorials for both applications.

As said above left click, copy image as, save to a file.  I put a file on my desktop labeled pictures.

When you get ready to upload to your hub, click choose and go to the Pictures file on your desk top.  Select the picture you want to use and double click to upload.  Make sure the tab is set to Upload.

Make sure the file is a GIF, JPG, or PNG only when you upload.

    Hope this helps.

right, as other have mentioned, just because you can capture an image doesnt mean you have the right to use it.

i have hundreds of travel  images in my galleries that i do give permission to use as long as a credit is included

I like these sites. You should give credit, though, and a link if possible back to where you got them.

    http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/
    http://www.publicdomainpictures.net/
    http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

You can make a small donation to wikimedia or buy the photographer a "cup of coffee" on publicdomainpictures by paying them a little something via paypal if you want to, but you don't have to.

You can also go to Microsoft free clipart. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/?CTT=97
