    What would you do if it seemed the world was against your relationship?

    Taking the advise of someone you once respected, you widen your horizons and find love in an unlikely place. Problem is.....seems no matter where you go, most are against the union. What would you do?

    You can't let people run your life, if you make a mistake learn from it and move on.

    Listen to their concerns about the relationship and process the information. It is always your own choice, however if people are saying the same things over and over to you, then maybe their concerns have some merit.

    Everyone needs to make their own mistakes.  Mistakes are not a totally bad thing to make - provided we have learned something from them.

    I think there's a misconception.  I should have mentioned that the relationship is WONDERFUL.  They get along and understand each other very well. Best relationship in life for the both of them.  The problem is when others see them together.  Not all agree with the combination!

    you should respect your love and relationship,if you don't then the world will not respect your relationship.its your life none can say anything....if they don't care then you shouldn't. but you can listen their opinion if its against you or your choice is not bad and they are not helping you on this then listen to yourself only you can decide what is right or wrong for you.

    I think I find Shakespeare has an answer to his better than anything  I can come up with. IS there an 'unlikely' place when it comes to love?. if the love is wonderful and the relationship is great  and two minds have met, debated and fell in love... then...

    'Let me not to the marriage of true minds
    Admit impediments. Love is not love
    Which alters when it alteration finds,
    Or bends with the remover to remove:
    O no! it is an ever-fixéd mark
    That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
    It is the star to every wandering bark,
    Whose Worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
    Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
    Within his bending sickle's compass come;
    Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
    But bears it out even to the edge of doom:
    If this be error and upon me proved,
    I never writ, nor no man ever loved'

    William Shakespeare , Sonnet 116

    I couldn't care less what people think.  It's my life so get out of my way because I'm living it my way.

    Keyword is "Your" relationship. The problem is when you are in a relationship be it good or bad, and you ask for advice from others you have to take the good with the bad. It's up to you or the other person that's in the relationship to weed out this information for themselves, and determine if it's relevant or not. If it were me and I were in a relationship, and everyone had something negative to say about our union. I would take it with a grain of salt, all sorts of factors could be motives, for example jealousy, or the persons past relationships, or hearsay. It's up to the person in the relationship to find out for themselves if the person is right for them, and if they are happy together, everyone else will come around eventually. I would never risk my happiness because of what someone else thought, and in the end if they don't work out, there is still no joy in "I told You So". ".....It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."

    I don't let other people's opinion ruin my relationship.  My family was against my late husband at first but after a while they had accepted him.  If I had listened to them, I would not have had a wonderful marriage that lasted 26 years until my husband passed away five years ago.  So listen to your heart, not others' opinion.  I hope this helps a little.

    Have a nice day,
    Rosie

    It sounds like people that don't agree with this relationship are immature, or they don't have a life. If their is no abuse, or drugs in the relationship, and it is healthy, and both parties are happy, then continue the relatonship. If you show the parties involved that your relatonship is strong by not responding to the remarks, the judgment others have will quit. If a party in the relationship feeds into the remarks, the talking will continue to breed.

    If the relationship is wonderful, and nobody is harming anybody, then the fact that people can't stand seeing the two together is irrelevant. I personally have the perfect relationship with my girlfriend and many people don't like the idea of us together. But I'm not on this earth to please other people. I'm here for my own happiness and that is all that matters. The rest of the world should worry about their own agendas and leave the lovebirds alone.

    Sometimes we have to bend a little in life in order to have peace of spirit.When you can see what you are getting into one should also be ready for negative feedback.WORTH, is the word that should be considered in every matter of thought.

    you just listen what your heart says. and ask one question to yourself that how much trust you have on your partner? If answer is "more then yourself" then don't care of anything...

    I suppose it depends on why they are against the union! If they're against it for great reasons and you're too blinded by like / love to see it, surely it's time to take a long, hard look at whether your relationship is actually all that great.

    But if they're against it because it affects them in a way they wouldn't like, then that's your choice whether to keep the relationship going or not.

    Personally, if I were happy and the person I was with was truly decent, I'd tell em to suck it up and get used to it wink

    I'd be oblivious to it, frankly. Love is love.                                            .
