How long did it take for you to make your first dollar with Adsense?

Been here two months, only at 41 cents. How long did it take you to make your first dollar with your ads?

4 months. But I didn't reach my first payout until a year and a half later (I had about 20 hubs at the time). Now I get paid monthly. smile

I have been using Adsense since 2004, though not on Hubpages. I have my own website. And I think I earned my first dollar within first two months. It depends on two factors:
    1. The quality of your content. Aim for high quality.
    2. Competition in your area of expertise. My advice: look for a niche.

Honestly, I think the question that you would really like to have answered is "How long will it take for Syrusv37 to make their first dollar with Adsense?"

The answer is, not until you write a lot more hubs and start getting some decent traffic to them.  Sorry, but that's the case. Since you are just starting out, you can only hope to be making a penny a day anytime soon. Remember, only 60% of your hub traffic gets counted as yours. So you have to get that much more traffic before you are making a penny a day.

Once you ARE getting a penny a day it will require 100 days to make your first dollar. But to get there, you have to start getting some traffic, and to do that, you have to write a lot of decent hubs, or a lesser number of incredible hubs.  By the way, I have done neither yet. I have made way more than a dollar on Adsense, but more because I have several websites getting a little traffic, most of which I started 3 years ago.

I started my website in 2007 and made my first dollar in about 2 month after putting ads. It all depend on traffic. My new website got only 50 impressions during the very first month.
