Why women have more plastic surgery done, than men?   is it because of  the pressure from society?

yes, I beileve it is because of society. There are certain qualifications to being "beautiful". This is why. In reality beauty is everywhere and there is at least one person in the world who will find someone else beautiful

Men and women are capable of making their own choices as to whether they will allow society to control their actions.  Yes, there is pressure; however, succumbing to that pressure is personal choice, it is not possible for anyone to get in another's head and control behavior.

“Why women have more plastic surgery done, than men”

as we live longer, and lead increasingly more active lives, we don't want to just feel young. We want to look young as well. Plastic surgery has become a viable way to turn back the clock on aging.
Men and women  sought some sort of enhancement surgery.

    1.  many of these surgeries were borne out of teenage insecurities?
    2.  it's when the aging process first begins to show on the body.
For those between 35 and 50.
    3.  A growing number of men have become concerned about their looks, men between the ages of 20 to 49. http://social.jrank.org/pages/1159/Sexu … Women.html

Stressful illness events were more strongly related to anxiety/depression symptoms in women over 40 than in men of the same age...  http://www.springerlink.com/content/ljdubl5jw4fh328g/

if women mental health is more susceptible than are men to the influence of surrounding... It may be that women  are more  susceptible to physical as well as mental disorders-- Media and Society: could be what makes women more susceptible to physical & mental disorders...

Media & Society factor pulling the strings...and women mental health--  http://hubpages.com/profile/websclubs

i'm going to be hated for this but oh well. women have done this to themselves though they tend to blame men. if women would quit being so obsessed with their looks , men would accept them for who they are. this idea that implants make a women more desirable is a joke. facelifts are an insult to women and spending hours getting ready to go out just shows how foolish women have become when understanding men. i'm not saying all women , not even close but if you go online or into a store, just look at the amount of beauty products that are available to women , it's mind blowing. women are attractive because they are women and men tend to like women , not because they have fake boobs, lots of makeup etc.
