do reports about bacteria found in malls, subways etc., make you worry?
do you concider the reports useful or do you find them more like scare tactics to increase sales of anti-bacterial products?
It does worry a little because of all the different virus floating in the air but not to the point that I will lose any sleep over it!
I believe that nothing can truly hurt us, except our own beliefs and thoughts.I believe we can not get sick, unless we give in to anger and judgment.. In the medical profession, many doctors tell their patients, that a certain pill, can very well help them..Its called the placebo effect..Of course the patient doesn't realize he's getting a sugar pill. Because he trusts in the doctor, he soon gets well, because of the power of his belief. Of course if he does not change his core beliefs, he will only have other new symptoms coming on.. I am not concerned about bacteria, viruses etc. I believe people are prone to mass group suggestion.
Ignorant is bliss... or we can say... knowing is bliss...
In facts we should know and understanding the precaution steps. Maybe it is part for the scare tactics but on the other side’s it also remind us to be aware of our surrounding. Whether we know it or not the conditions are still the same. In is important for us to be educated with the nature of surrounding. So we can plan for appropriate solutions.
There are many ways that we can avoid those bacteria or viruses without using on market products. By keeping healthy lifestyles and proper hygiene we still avoid those bad diseases.
I make my own colloidal silver and take it daily as a preventative. Costs me pennies and I am protected.
I deliberately lick the windows on the subway to make myself immune to the oncoming plague.
Absolutely, iburahimu. I agree. Just because someone is selling something, you don't have to buy it. Germs are a reality and they can be dangerous. They are everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE. But if you are careful, you can remain somewhat unscathed. For example, wash your hands before touching food or your nose, mouth, or eyes. I know this sounds crazy, but don't touch any surface in a public bathroom. If you want a place with more germs than a hospital, that is the one. Basically, be aware and don't walk in front of someone who is coughing up a lung, you know? Look, it takes a little extra work to be clean and healthy but it is worth the time.
I would not worry about the germs found in public places, they are everywhere. I firmly believe companies want you to be scared of germs so that you can go buy hundreds of anti-bacterial everything! There are good germs, and yes bad ones. Just washing hands is a good preventitive.
Nah! My dogs licks them all away. Besides the indiscriminant elimination of all bacteria, makes us more susceptible to the little devils we miss. The dog is cheaper and he's a good kisser!
There is a lot of scaremongering about 'germs'. While a certain amount of hand hygiene and hygiene during eating and food preparation is very important. this constant bombardment about germs being everywhere is a keen selling strategy for antiseptic wipes, sprays etc. In fact these preparations cause more damage to the environment than the germs themselves.
We are seeing a huge rise in auto-immune diseases these are diseases where the immune system attacks our own body. One theory is this is the price of excessive hygiene and that the 'immune system' which is our own local army gets bored and starts attacking anything and everything as it goes without challenge. We are also seeing a lot of eczema and other skin conditions due to constant cleansing as the skin loses its natural defenses and goes very drive. Media makes a big deal about germs and stirs up a public frenzy.
There are some germs we need to be frightened of- salmonella, influenza, clostridium, tetanus etc but a lot of germs just co-exist and a lot more help our protect our body. Yeast infections happen if our natural commensal germs ( local protectors) die off and are replaced by more parasitic yeast growth. We need to have a 'sensible' strategy about microbes-- not go looking for 'weapons of mass destruction' in everything!!! sorry for the long rant.
I would have to agree and disagree with you. I think that they are used as scare tactics to get you to buy hand sanitizers. However, they are still true. There are millions of bacteria on your hands alone. Just think how many would be in a subway where millions of people congregate everyday! I used to not really care about all the germs but I took a bacterial class last semester and it made me the biggest germ-a-phobe on the planet. You'd be surprised what's lurking on your keyboard that you used to type up this question.
Humans are natural walking petri dishes anyway, so much so in fact that the immune system becomes hypersensitized when there are no pathogens to fight, which can sometimes result in lupus-like symptoms. Our bodies need some degree of infectious matter to fight in order to operate at peak efficiency, the problem is that since we live elbow-to-elbow due to overpopulation and travel much more than we used to, a new and truly dangerous disease can spread halfway around the world by the time anyone realizes it exists.
Bacterias never make me so worry like people frightening the other people...
First of all to answer your question, no I don't worry. Bacteria has been around longer than the human race. Some bacteria are harmful to humans, some are helpful but most are just hanging out waiting to be involved in the complex symbiotic way this planet works. Although the importance of sanitation and bacterial control in places like hospitals and restaurants can not be over emphasized. But I am stunned by the fact that people believe that the media, which is made up of mostly Liberal Socialists, would do anything to help promote the sale of any product that would benefit any big corporation, which is made up of mostly Conservative Capitalists. If and when the media puts out information like this, it's put out as scare tactics to try and get you to believe that there is a crisis and it is usually linked to other information that implies that the Government has a solution to the crisis in order to convince the general public that Big Government and/or More Government is always the answer because that's what Liberal Socialists believe in. On the other hand big corporations see a vacuum (a need) develop within the general public, knowing full well that nature abhors a vacuum, and attempt to fill that vacuum while in the process of creating revenue in order to promote self interest, which benefits everyone by the way, because that's what Conservative Capitalists believe in.

Bacterias are the culprit that work against good oral hygiene. Most of the bacterias resides over tongue, some at the periodontal pocket and very little on the teeth. For this, tongue scrapping is the most important part of maintaining a good oral hygiene. But unfortunately, it's the most forgotten...

In numerous instances the Bible contains medical information that far predates man's actual discoveries of related principles in the field of medicine. The medical instructions given by Moses to the Israelites some 3500 years ago were not only far superior to the practices of contemporary cultures,...
