Could you kill, prepare and cook your own meat if it were your only way to survive?
Would you be able to hunt and kill an animal to ensure your survival? Not just a fish but a land animal; a bird, rabbit, pig, etc.
In a heartbeat. Only I live in a major city and we can't hunt within 100 miles of here. I'd personally prefer to obtain my meat in this manner, but its just not logistically possible at this time.
Mmmmm. Rabbit stew and frybread....
If it was my only way to survive? Easily... And personally I don't see a difference between fishing and hunting land animals. They are both living things. Same with buying and eating meat, I know that's a little different but you are still sacrificing an animal whenever you eat meat.
Absolutely...you think I'm just going to sit there and die while Bambi walks by? I would never eat a human...I rather die...but I'll go kill Bambi right now and eat her and I'm not even starving.
i do it all the time now,.... so i guess the answer is an enthusiastic yes.
of course i could. if you can't you would be in deep trouble if things went wrong.
Yes off course! These animals were given to us by God for us to eat so there's nothing bad about it. BUT! Eating human flesh is a different thing.
Thats what was done quite regularly, as late as the 1950's ...
Of course I could. I wouldn't go hungry just because I didn't fancy the idea of having to catch, kill and cook. That would be silly - and you'd soon change your mind once the hunger set in!!!
I've done it! A lot of people where I live kill game to eat! What is tougher though, is killing an animal that you raised from babies. I've butchered chickens before. Not fun, but at least the meat is gained honestly. I think that if you can't hunt, kill, and butcher the meat you eat, perhaps you should become a vegetarian.

How can I cook a sirloin steak and have it turn out like a high priced steak at a restaurant?I have bought sirloin steaks at many different grocery stores and meat markets, but they always end up tough. And I do not over cook them. What is the secret to this? Is it the quality or something that is...

I believe yes, because killing is itself a violent act and if it is involved in the process of making food, it will definitely makes them more violent.

I never figured out, despite my experience of living a lifespan of 45 years, why humans kill and torture animals for food. Why do Muslims and Christians still practice killing animals for meat? Is that allowed in their so-called religions of mercy? They should better learn from the Buddhists and...
