Have you ever traveled some where once or frequently, and felt like you were home?

    Like you belonged there

Yes. It was Denver, Colorado.  I think about moving there a lot.  What about you?

I love San Francisco.  It is a big city, but the neighborhoods are such that I feel welcome, invited, comforted.  It is my favorite city ever.  But I like my small town too.  I like that I'm 10 minutes from hiking in the mountains or high desert depending on which direction I go.  I like that people know me and my dog by name.  I like the views all around and the way most people behave towards each other.

This is a great question! I once traveled to portugal and being skint, found some folks who ran a tiny scrap yard. No one spoke English and they all lived seemingly in a bygone age, like thirty years back.
Even the food we ate came from the garden and various animals running around free range. I learned to communicate in the five months i was there. I rode back to the UK with no cash and got by and now cycle back on little cash every year or so- usually takes a month from Le Havre, France- they treat me as family. I love 'em all and feel i want to live there.I never miss the hi-tech and convinient world we live in.

I even wrote a book about it called bins benches and broken bikes. Never written before in my life, but a good story-you just gotta tell!

My place would have to be in North Georgia in a small town called Helen Georgia. It was a beautiful little town, and i loved the North Ga mountains so much!!
Another place would have to be Fort Payne Alabama it was so delightful as well.

Yes, when I went to a missions trip to Peru. It reminded me of Puerto Rico before highways were built and it became urbanized. Peru has some beautiful mountains and jungles. The weather there is nice.
We met some wonderful people. If you eat in Peru, try Cerviche! It is a dish made from fish and spices. Very tasty and good!

While I love NYC and travel there frequently the one place I visited and felt completely at home was Newfoundland.....one of the  Atlantic Canadian provinces. Over the years  I have been fortunate enough to visit there many times and I know in my heart that I could easily move to and live there. It is an incredible place. The fact that it has daily flights to NYC is a bonus as well.

Anywhere in Texas. It is my home and there is much to see and do here. But I'm fond of the saying, "Wherever you go, there you are!". I've felt at home in Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado, Florida and Southern Utah.
Home is where you are. Make it so.

Thank you for all your awesome answers! My place is St. Augustine, FL. It's one of the oldest towns in the U.S. It's also a beach town with very popular attractions, like the fountain of youth,a huge fort where battles were fought, and the old town is a beautiful place to walk around on the brick paved roads and browse the local shops with the ocean breeze blowing through your hair. I never get tired of being there.
