    hi

I read but try to understand it from the writer's point of view first ( if the writer is known). later  When i feel that something is similar to my real life experiences or somethings that i believe in, then i do use it as a guideline.

I do and I fall short ALL THE TIME. I know I man and born to sin. God judge a man heart and all I can do is pray that The Lord see it and still save me as the sinner that I 'am . for we are all in the flesh and its very sinful but I thank God that Jesus die for we all being sinner and pray for my son, my family, me and for the rest of the world to come to Jesus and to do what the bible tell us for if all man live by the bible, this world would have been a much better place for us all.

I always strive to live by the command of Jesus,"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you , ... By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. ... “ John 13:34-35. By doing this, I honor God in all I do.

No. If I did I would simply sit in a room and do nothing, because everything in scripture is contradicted by something else in scripture.

Even the most fundamental thing for Christians - the Crucifixion of Christ - is contested scripturally, because in the Qur'an it says that Allah will not allow harm to come to His prophets, and so did not allow Jesus to be crucified.

So what I do is I will read the Bible, the Qur'an, Koans, Kierkegaard... anything that will allow me to form or deepen an understanding of what this whole "God" business is about, and then act on the general principles as best I know how. It's probably not always perfect, but "my Father who sees all" will know what I do in private, and will look for me in the love I show in his name.

Yes more as a in built guide, once learned never forgotten. It drops in to lead, act as a litmus test, or prod me to warn and raise an objection, like reminding me when I am wrong. I do not sit down and plan its use, it just happens because I have learnt to use it.

It is so ingrained in me, that I do not turn to a: book, a chapter, or a verse........

Do good, be good, love, and be loved........forgive, seek forgiveness..........pretty simple, without 'shoving'  religion down the throat of another.

If we desire to be good, we must first, do good things.

Far too many times, I fail.........yet, I start over on the morrow.
