What affects these hubscores because I feel dizzy, from a score of 93 to 90 to 86 to 82 back to 89..
down to 83 and back up to 92 all within a few days if not hours? Although I thought it was about participating now I believe this is not true.
Yeah, it really is about participation, but with a lot more added to it. I've gone from 89 back up to 94 in a week, just from asking and answering a few questions, commenting on hubs, and Hub Hopping.
I've also gained about 10 followers, so I don't know if followers is added in to the algorithm.
It's in the Help section, but it basically seems to depend on your participation like ryancarter said. Mine's been going up by perusing through the Answers section and getting more views as I post more Hubs. Negatives seem to be Vote Downs possibly or having too many ads, Amazon bits, or links in your Hubs.
It can be very frustrating, especially if you have put your heart and soul into it. The bottom line is that if you have to keep submitting hubs. Your scores maybounce really high but they will drop quickly if you dont keep submitting hubs. The veteran hubbers have more staying power but I notice they are very prolific and submit alot of hubs.
I wonder this too... I've tried testing the theory but I'm always coming up blank.. Just when I think I figured it out, my hubscore changes.
It's the mystery that keeps us guessing.
It is a mystery because at this time my 0 hubs have a hubscore of 64 and my profile picture is 50. Go figure that out. It does make some sense since I written the greatest article on the earth and the staff have seen my article. Since no one on hubpages can see my article I understand why my profile score is lower than my hubscore because you can not see my article but everyone around the world can see my article through 100 percent referring sites. My invisible hub is seen around the world in 8 countries and 15 visits. The referring sites keeps coming back for the greatest article on the earth to spread it all over the world. Brazil 5 times; United States 2 times; Canada 2 times; Germany 2 times; Spain 1 time; Australia 1 time; Japan 1 time; China 1 time. Just the facts with my 1 article which no members of hubpages can see.
It is all over the place.
I think HubPages staff have been messing around with the algorithm recently.
I wouldn't concern yourself too much with it. Keep participating. It is good in other ways.
I figure it's much like the stock market.
I used to get all worked up about it but now I ignore it for the most part. I wont say, however, that I'm not happy when it goes up.
Well, I got busy for a short time recently and wasn't able to participate, and lo and behold, my hubscore fell to the floor. lol I'm still scraping it off the floor. I know everyone is saying to ignore your hubscore but it's staring you right at the face when you log in. So I try to make it a game.. if my hubscore goes up, I give myself a donut.. to celebrate. If my hubscore goes down, I give myself TWO donuts.. to console myself. There, there Rosie.. you didn't do anything wrong. Tomorrow is another day. sob sob sob ... here you can have a third donut. We love donuts here in Canada. sob

I am sort of disappointed. I try to be active in the site as much as possible, comment on other people's hubs, help out in the forums, add new hubs once every two weeks, participate in the question and answer and my hubscore is slowly decreasing. Any advice from expert Hubbers on how to...

I have read how hubscore is computed but was still surprised the other day when I saw a hubscore of 1. It just is somewhat amazing to me that some hubscores are 10 or below. Don't get me wrong----I'm really not trying to be judgemental or holier than thou or anything it's just I...

To those with decreased hubscores as a result of the new hubscore updates, has this eventmotivated or demotivated you from writing hubs? Has the new hubscore updates making you reconsider staying at HubPages or simply giving up and moving on?

Which way do you think your Hubscores will go with the NEW change to the Hubscore algorithm? See "An Update to HubScore" http://blog.hubpages.com/2015/02/26/an- … -hubscore/Note that the revision will:* deemphasise traffic - from all sources* put more of an emphasis on quality as...
