   I seem to cycle back and forth.  I have periods where I do minimal writing and read more.  At this time, I am mainly working on my journaling and updating my hubs and blogs.  I seem to be a late night writer.

   I'm still learning some techniques of writing, so I read books such as Harry Potter as I find J.K.Rowlings writing to be astounding. This makes my writing better. I'd have to say abit of both.

   I used to be a voracious reader, I don't read as much as I used to.  I find I get impatient when the story lags and end up scanning through the book.  I love to write.  I love putting down the cursory story details and going back and editing.  I love the editing, fine tuning it until it really sparkles--or it does to me anyway.

   As an avid reader, I like the art of handwriting.
   
   Having a creative nature, I like to write articles, stories, directions......etc................BUT,  I actually like to take a pen in hand and physically write words.   Some people like to doodle, but I like the act of writing.......on paper, on the phone book cover, on the paper grocery bag, on the back of an envelope.
   
   The art and the act of 'writing' is becoming a lost art.

   I prefer to write.
   
   At times, I prefer to read and it depends on how much I've written and when I need to just relax and read.  That's when I'll read a book from cover to finish.
   
   i observe all around me when I'm out and that gives me the inspiration to write.
   
   However, it also depends on the time too for when I'm tired, I find myself just reading for pleasure.

   When I was younger I loved to read, I would read for hours and sometimes would read and reread books.  Now that I am older I will read a book if it interests me.  I read a lot on the internet as I am one who loves to look for new information.
   
   In recent years I have, however, took up writing.  I have found that many times writing is a way for me to relax.  It helps me deal with stress and emotions.  I have found that writing is a way for me to express myself without all the backlash that can be found in an argument or conversation.
