Do you think legalized pot would help rescue our economy?
With more states decriminalizing and legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes, the possibility arises that Americans could profit (i.e. the rebirth of family farms, employment opportunities, and with taxes---a lower national debt).
No, not in the short-term. It would take a year or two to set-up the distribution and taxing mechanisms and the economy will have recovered by then. In the long-term, it will definitely help the economy, in two ways. Increase in tax revenue and a decrease in law enforcement costs and the costs associated with crime surrounding the drug trade in pot.
Yes, since the recession, alcohol and tabacco sales have skyrocketed. Legalized marijuana, as a much better subsitute for alcohol and tabacco, is a good solution for both our health and economy. It's the lesser of two evils.
I'm pretty sure the project $77 Billion in revenue certainly could help our economy. The only problem is in keeping that revenue circulating in the economy to help the family farms, entrepreneurs, ect... And not allowing it to go to the corrupt SOB's in the gov.
No, but it would make us feel better about getting screwed by the government.

I believe the effects of marijuana is not what the government is afriaid of. A study shows that by removing the crop from consumption, a considerable amount of GDP would be affected in the country creating an inbalance with no way to satify filling the gap. European countries have...
