What are your beliefs regarding the book of REVELATION

Do you believe in Revelation and if so, how soon do you think some events will occurr like the rapture, the antiChrist, etc?

I believe it to be symbolic in some verses and in others prophetic. I used to be afraid of the book because it seemed so dooms day to me. As a Christian man now, I love the book because it is a story of victory for all believers.

My belief is that it is revealing............maybe you should find out who wrote it and maybe they can give you a heads up.  Seems like they knew how to look into the future as well as communicated with God and the other characters in that book!  Wait a minute who wrote that book of revelation, I don't even know?!?!

Silly make believe from the bronze age.  Luckily we now have modern science that actually answers our questions for example why we have earthquakes.

I believe the book of Revelation to be true as the whole Bible is true.  I believe the book is written out of love for mankind as a preview of what to expect and preperation to get ready.  Born again Christians will not participate in the tribulation so they need to fear it only heed it as we are responsible for the souls not yet born again and have a part to play.  We do not know the day or the hour according to the Word but God gives us clues throughout the Word and mathematically 2014 is a close proximaty to the year.  I will not say a definate as I could have calculated it wrong.  Once the rapture takes place the events will happen very quickly.  There are many things falling into place as we speak and have for some time.  Countries are lining up for war, the earth is groaning which is why we are seeing so many natural disasters, people are living like Sodom and Gomorrah.  When this all happens look up for His bride is about to be called.

The Book of Revelation was a call to arms. A call for a Jewish war against Rome. When it talks about stones raining down from the sky it is referring to stones shot from a Roman ballistae siege engine. The star that fell to Earth is a reference to the constellation of Ophuichus: the serpent bearer, and thirteenth sign of the zodiac. John and his co-conspirators intended to demote Ophuichus from the zodiac altogether and instigate a calendar based solely on the cycles of the sun. This was to replace the Jewish tradition of having 5 thirteen moon/month years interspersed throughout the 19 year metonic cycle. In Greek myth Ophuichus represented a son of Apollo called Aesculepius (there are many variant spellings: slain by Zeus at the urging of Hades the god (not the place). Hades wanted Aesculepius dead because he had perfected the art of resurrecting dead people - or to put that another way - he could 'unlock the bottomless pit'. There are other clues to the 'star' being Ophuichus. The locusts released from the pit had tails like scorpions, with faces of men and the bodies of horses. To the East of Ophuichus: along the ecliptic, is the constellation of Scorpio, and on the other side: Sagittarius: the centaur. Ophuichus rises above both and, in this way, rules over them. When you see the medical symbol of a staff - or rod - with snakes entwined around it you are looking at the staff of Aesculepius.

Now we've had nearly 2000 years to see through the scam called the Bible and I find it amazing that many people still cannot see through it for what it is.

Certainly there is a great deal of symbology in it, and it's all about prophecy.

I've heard the "bear" compared with Russia, and the "red dragon" compared with China. Perhaps.

I think one of the monsters might be Al-Qaeda.

Revelations also talks about a great star named wormwood. And this is quite exciting, because before 1986 there may have been no way to understand this passage, unless you were very good at seeing past the symbols and into the mind of the one who wrote it, knowing that his vocabulary was likely inadequate.

    "And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

"And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."
    Revelations 8:10–11

What is a "star?" It is a huge ball of gas weighing many thousands of times as much as our planet Earth. How can such a thing "fall to Earth?" And a "great" star? Bigger? But "great" can also mean "wonderful" or even "heavy." That's in English. Does anyone know the original word in its language? (Greek, Aramaic?)

A star contains nuclear conversions of light elements. If "great" were to mean "heavy" elements, we might find that Wormwood is about nuclear conversion of heavy elements like uranium and plutonium. And Wormwood in Ukrainian is Chernobyl. The radiation from the Chernobyl disaster of 1986 fell upon a third of planet Earth — from Scandinavia to Central Asia and to the Middle East.

Could this be what Revelation was predicting? Interesting.

The 7 seals cover the book of Revelation.Everything that is written therein falls under one or the other of those 7 seals. The 1000 year reign is the first of the 7 seals, the church shall be reestablish ,perfection of spirits shall be another occurrence under that seal. Most people have vision the wrong process and place-meant of activities concerning the time span and events of each seal.So one should be careful how they interpret the book of revelation's.

Revelation is the Book of the End. It began at the crucifixion of Jesus. "Then appeared a lamb as it had been slain." From the time of Jesus' crucifixion the seals began to be opened. Those events in the seals have been increasing in intensity and duration and the time between those occurances are narrowing.
It is obvious by what the scripture reads that the rapture will not occur until the "last trump" which is at Jesus return to take over. Christians will be persecuted during the time of the Great Tribulation. The seven Churches are individuals within every Christian Church today. 1 Corinthians 6 Do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit that is in you, that you have received from God?
I have wanted to write on this but too many allow their personal doctrine to interfere rather than what the Bible reads.
    Interesting question.
