   Do you have a decision or choice to regret? How do you deal with it?
   
   As we get older we regret our mistakes, opportunities not taken, lovers lost, wrong turns. It is not easy to forget and move on, to be always happy with the life choices we make, but only if you take this less travelled road, but it is the only road worthy to take..the road of acceptance.

   You have a choice to regret or not because no matter what one does, it doesn't change the past. So the best thing to do is to move on with life, understanding that regrets are part of life on earth and it can never be changed. One has to figure out a way to be strong, strong, strongggg.

   Funny you should pose that question at this time.  Lately I've been pondering on some decisions I have made in the last year, and except for the fact I'm living off my savings, those decisions have given me great freedom. Leaving a permanent working position with good wages and benefits, to embark on a dream was something I had tried on several previous occasions, but the money issue always drove me back.  Security!  It is a powerful motivator. 
   
   Yes, financially it is getting tight, but the sheer joy of waking up to MY day is well worth the little hiccups. Living with your decisions and responsibilities is what life is all about. It's not about proving yourself to others, more about proving yourself to YOURSELF.  I live with my decisions, because I made them and they are my responsbility.

   I think a lot has to do with the way you look at it. Speaking for myself, I know I can look back on my life and think there are things I Shoulda Woulda Coulda do or done differently.
   
   But the ability "look back" comes from the lessons learned, experienced & knowledge gained as well as the overall wisdom gained, based on the choices we have made.
   
   If you spent any time, in thought, about a choice you made, then there is/was a pretty good chance it was the right choice at that time. Few people would consciously make a wrong or bad choice.
   
   I feel regret is to strong of a word, I don't regret my choices, but I do learn from them right or wrong.

   I feel it is a choice, but more of one in default. Many of us have a tendency to be a glass is half empty type person. It is so easy to forget about the good and complain about the bad. In order to learn to move on from regret it takes a conscious choice to turn your mind to the good parts of life and to the benefits that may have come from the thing we regret the most.
