If there is a total collapse of the economical system, how would you survive?
No banks, shortages of fuel, food and maybe even water, how would you survive thru this? There could be 30% unemployment, gas up 300%, light bulbs 500%, inflation could reach 30% all in the next year and it doesn't seem as our political leaders have a clue.
Well you would obviously begin to acquire books on home methane production from your own human waste for an energy source through combustion, problem number one solved. For food, well if you were fortunate enough to be able to settle down after the collapse, then you could seek out various seeds for plants, such as corn, soy, apples, peaches, plums, potatoes, etc. Problem number two solved. I believe after this would require the accumulation of a social group in which to rebuild a society, a small town even. The Problem with water is to build a desalination machine capable of turning salt water or fresh water into drinkable fluid. I think then the plan would be to just sit back and hope for better days.
I would put all of my most completely thought up inventions to good use, possibly create a protest to turn everything back and create a rational plan for the evolution of liberation (that doesn't involve anyone getting shot, tazed, pepper sprayed, etc.), get candles or an oil lamp and a generator, etc.
Anarcho-Syndacalism , put the workers in control of the company's with equally pay for all using worker committees to run such company's. The economy only collapses because the billionaires lose the money to support their business if the company is taken over by soon to be unemployed workers then the company will continue to produce and get itself back making a profit.. If you don't believe me then check out the many cases of worker owned company's in south America

What could potentially cause the collapse of the United States? Would it be an attack from overseas, terrorism, economical collapse inward, or from another civil war? These are all just examples, feel free to add to it, but let's discuss this nevertheless.

If the economy collapsed, there is no food, you weren't prepared; how will you feed your family?

Suppose earth was in total famine. How long would humanity survive by cannibalizing one other?Suppose for a moment that there was no more food to be had anywhere; that the planet was in total famine. How long would humanity survive by cannibalizing each other?

We had many economic systems, starting from the barter.Socialism collapsed due to inefficiency.Communism collapsed due to authoritarianism.Capitalism is on the verge of collapse due to human greed, the attempt to make profit at the cost of others. Today's economy is globalized, hence when it...

We had this same problem a couple of weeks ago and it was resolved. Same problem again today though, so I'm reporting it. (If we don't report problems, how can we expect them to be fixed?)1 day stats are abnormally low, so I checked the stats on an individual hub. The 'day' stat there is...
