My traffic has plummeted to almost zero. Is there something going on with the site?

My traffic tripled since the sub-domain switch. but for the past day or so my traffic just dropped completely.

Yes, it's happened to lots of people, including me!  Check out the forums for info.  Though it's mainly just speculation at the moment.  No one really knows what's happening!

Yes - but of course those SUPER HUBERS who base their ego on the false pretense of a high author score haven't been able to admit that. . . .THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!

    LOLOLOL!!!!!!

Don't worry about it - chickens come home to roost in the end. . . .and your traffic will too.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only person this is happening to. Though it had to happen when I was one month away from reaching the payout threshold (ugh). I feel bad for HubPages. They've been trying to keep up with Google's antics for months now. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

I knew my writing was not that bad and also know that Google is a bi-polar "panda." Hopefully, this will improve and we can all go on to make some kind of payout each month.

I have no idea, but hopefully it will be fixed soon. This is just madness...

Interesting question, my HubPages view numbers have fallen on the my account page, but looking at my Google Analytics records, things are pretty stable for the last month.
So is it a lack of views or is something wrong with HubPages accounting for views? Two diifferent sources of data are giving me differing numbers regarding the same thing.

I know the measurement for Google Analytics work differently anyway, but they were always fairly close in the past this last week or so the figures are wildly different.

I believe it's because HubPages is no longer supplying automatic summaries. When we start a new hub, there used to be a small part of our articles that were automatically included as a description presented to the web to give new readers an idea as to what our articles are about. These are usually just a couple of the first lines from the article. It appears that's not happening anymore. This is leaving our potential readers with our hub's title & no description. We can put our own summaries in manually, but it isn't doing it for us automatically anymore.

Google has made a change in it's algorithm again lately. You can verify this by visiting the Google Webmaster site. In the past you would get decent link juice through links from subdomains (now Hubpages is subdomains) but they changed the rules so that links from subdomains are now considered to be the same as links from within the same domain. This will really affect page rank on articles in similar systems to Hubpages e.g Tumblr.

I have been dealing with the same situation with some of my hubs.  I use to get lots of views but now it is a slow trickle.  I have to come up with another master plan.
