Do you think Obama's job creation plan will turn the economy around?
No way! Its more of the same frivolous spending that we saw 2 1/2 years ago. Since he doesn't know what he is doing, he should stop doing anything!
I am not sure. Something needs to stimulate the economy. One solution I have is that People should have to work in the "county" they live in, well in Chicago area. He needs to stop taxing so much on our pay. I cannot live alone nor is there a place to go to live. It's horrible. I am very intelligent and Cannot find a job: I have a Paralegal degree, Cosmetology, and Security. Go figure so I am writing online.
No. I do not believe that something will be so, just because someone in authority wishes it to be so.
It's just more of the same, he's a good speaker but doesn't have a clue, no life experience, never run a business, never lived as an average Joe, and just keeps spending which our kids and grand kids will be stuck paying for. He continues to say what he thinks people want to hear.
We need to get people working. We have a house that is acting anti-American because it won't do anything to make this president look good no matter how much it damages this country. We have a senate that can't get it's act together. And a president who tries to compromise with a house that is unwilling to compromise. The job plan might work but it will not pass the house.
Not at all. The current numbers don't take into account those who are grossly underemployed and overqualified for their current positions, those whose unemployment benefits have run out, nor those who are working part-time. The best case scenario is that rather than hire new employees, companies will increase the hours for their part-timers. Personally, I am worried that so many retirees are collecting pensions and still working (especially in my local government). Moreover, people who should be able to retire either didn't save properly or lost their savings somehow so they are still working too. Our population continues to grow every year and no more jobs are being created. The problem will become exponentially worse except for those who possess advanced college degrees or are otherwise indispensable (or close to it).
If 787 billion didn't fix the problem, then how is 467 billion going to solve it? The so-called "jobs plan" is nothing more than a stimulus do-over. If this is supposed to create jobs, why wasn't this plan A instead of plan B?
@bigeddle06385 that makes a lot of sense. so now what is the solution? How are our leader ever going to solve this problem?
After a 2011 SLUMP, jobs advertised in America increased; but enormously so in October 2012. They continued to increase in jobs that require advanced training and licensing, but also yield high pay. read more
Our nation's veterans deserve good jobs when they return from their enlistments. The White House offers a partial list of 100 veteran-friendly companies for work, but GIJobs and others help. read more

When will President Obama tell the people his plan to change the economy around?
by AnnCee 12 years ago
Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty turned out a blockbuster economic-growth plan this past week, including deep cuts in taxes, spending, and regulations. It's really the first Reaganesque supply-side growth plan from any of the GOP presidential contenders. And he caps it all off with a defense...

What is YOUR analysis of President Trump?
by Alexander A. Villarasa 11 years ago
Now that all three presidential and one vice-presidential debates are history, the quintessential question begs to be answered. Are we better off economically compared to 4 years ago when Pres. Obama assumed the reins of the presidency? If some of us answers yes, then Obama...

Obama's Presidency is nearing it's end. What is his legacy, in your view? All opinions are welcome. I am interested to hear how different people view Barak Obama, as Commander-In-Chief.
