How do you cure or treat occipital pain?

I am dealing with headaches, nausea, dizziness, nerve pain, tiredness... all from my occipitals which my doctor said is caused by stress and anxiety. I've tried physical therapy, muscle adjustments, ice, heat, diet change, and exercise... nothing takes it away for good. The ice and heat help but its temporary. It seems as though I have gotten worse since I quit smoking. Is there anything I can try to help my body? I am going to try acai berry supplements (organic)  for energy and weight loss, since I can't always exercise do to my neck, hopefully that will help. Can all this really be anxiety?

I'm not looking for people to say "Ask a doctor" because I always do. I want answers I can relate to. People who suffer from neck pain and anxiety or who have unbalanced hormones. I need some sound advice. Also, I stick as close to all natural as possible!

    Dear y ii3rittles,
Your headache appears to be a tension type of headache in my point of view. Going by that, your doctor is quite correct about stress and anxiety. But since the headache had not responded to any of the standard therapies offered for the tension headache and since it had got worse with quitting smoking, there is a possibility of a cluster headache or a form of migraine. Since your history does not indicate the onset and the progression clearly, I recommend you to consult a neurologist. Hope you will get well soon!

    [place typical medical disclaimer here]

look into Dr. Janet Hull site on aspartame. Look into bwgen.com it has helped many I  know with bipolar disorder and migraine headaches. Once you understand the science behind it you will discover musical sources that will benefit you the same way. Consider an Ophthalmologist. If you are using a transdermal patch it affects dreams and the occipital lobe is the primary generator of dreams. Another things is your blood sugar levels. From my experience lose the word cure and adapt the word manage.

A big question. One of the best methods to grab hold of resolving it is to keep a journal / chart tracking its occurrences or become a detective on a great funfilled adventure of solving a mystery - when, where, what you were doing/activity, when last ate/drank, what was last ate, stress y/n - cause?, anxiety y/n - was there an associated fear, depressed - did you feel deprived of something or being reflective, are there common aches and pains, i.e. neck or shoulders, and more that you discover. Remember to smile and have fun, fun, fun , , ,

Personal Note: I keep one of those tiny notepads in my shirt pocket for this endeavor. I have learned much about 'me' this way. My chart is a pain in the A** sometimes & my desk at home sometimes has all these pieces of paper tossed on it with notes, but my doctor(s) - primary care, psychiatrist, therapist, chiropractor love me now. They don't have to use a shotgun or generality approach they are able to be  more specific. I have lowered med dosages because of this and headaches have diminished to almost gone. When I do have them they are food related. My body aches are related to past injuries and I can trace new aches to posture related stuff like crossing my legs while sitting at the desk like now - smile (lower back pain - whoops!)
