Why is my hubscore plummeting?? Help?
So I've been a member for about a week and a half and then I got a notification saying that 2 of my questions I submitted were closed being due to being more of a discussion kind of question. I took a 10 point loss on my hubscore (78 to 68) and after the loss I tried to gain them back by being extra active (posting new hubs, conversing in forums, submitting good questions, answering questions, commenting on others hubs and commenting back on my own, etc) but for the past 2 days they have quickly fallen seemingly no matter what I do. My current hubscore is 27. Anyone know what to do?
You might be following too many people without reading their hubs.

Our hubscores fluctuate all of the time. If you are producing high quality hubs, it's nothing to worry about, unless you are doing something else to make it fall.
I see that you've only been here for nine days, have written a few hubs and have followed many people. When you follow so many people without actually engaging with them (commenting on hubs, answering questions), it tends to make your score fall. The closed questions doesn't help, either, but you'll learn from that experience.
It takes much work to get your hubscore up and to keep it up. I'd say you should first check out the Learning Center (it has so much helpful information!), work on your hubs, give quality comments, and ask appropriate questions. It'll take some time, but you should see your hubscore increase then.
Good luck!
It also might be the big number of questions you are adding, some of them being similar to others. There is an option to check if a similar question was asked before so you can avoid duplicating the same again and again.
As Peter Owen points out in the article, it's better to gain score naturally and keep yuou activities balanced - without overdoing one or another.
Thanks guys! As I'm new I figured it was much like twitter or something where you just follow whomever you wish to network with to establish yourself in the community. I always did the check similar questions and never found any duplicates. It may not be searching thoroughly because I'm using mobile safari. Possible theory. If I leave comments on each hub I follow and send fan mail to each then will it matter how many I follow? Thank you so much for the help everyone. I really appreciate it

I've gone from a 94 to an 82 in less than two weeks having done no activity until a couple of days ago. When I started this session my score was an 83! What on earth *gives*???

I've just noticed that my HS has dropped below the previous score. It's natural to expect it to drop but not below the previous score. Come on!!

Is anybody else who is doing the challenge seeing plummeting hub scores or is it just because of the subject matter of my hubs? I hope people aren't downrating the hubs because they disagree with my opinions! I didn't think that was the appropriate use for the up and down voting

I was getting great traffic until Panda hit in 2011 and my traffic took a nosedive. The last six months or so my traffic was increasing nicely. I was excited to work on HP again. However, the last week or so I lost it all and now am sitting back at my lows.Oh well, it...

I am sort of disappointed. I try to be active in the site as much as possible, comment on other people's hubs, help out in the forums, add new hubs once every two weeks, participate in the question and answer and my hubscore is slowly decreasing. Any advice from expert Hubbers on how to...
