   Have you ever felt the presence of a loved one or friend coming to say "farewell"?
   
   Have you ever felt the presence of a loved one coming to say "farewell", only to learn minutes later they had died?

   Yes, for sure! When my first Husband had died I sat at home in our living room in the dark with my Sister asleep upstairs. I had candles lit in the darkened room and I spoke to my Hubby, asking him to find a way to let me know he was okay (he had only died two days or so earlier). As I asked the question the candle flame rose up to about four inches high (in spite of being contained in a glass sided candle holder where drafts would not have been an issue, although the room was not drafty anyway). I began talking to my Husband and asking him to prove to me he was okay by making the candle flame go smaller/taller. Each time it responded. This went on for a number of minutes.
   Ultimately I went upstairs and woke up my Sister to let her know I had received the sign I needed to know my late Husband was okay and was still around me.

   That's amazing, mistyhorizon. And I believe you. My boyfriend tells me about when his father died when he was a teenager. They had gone through some hard times in their relationship and when his dad died suddenly when he was a teen, they still had unresolved issues. But my boyfriend tells me that shortly after that his dad came to him either in a dream or in reality--his dad had a light behind him and said, "It's okay." I guess misty and I are answering the question that things were made okay after the death, not before....But it's really amazing.

   I believed that are loved ones who passed away are with us always. They are only in a different dimension parallel to ours. They can see us but we can't see them so for this lack of sight, we compensate through our sense of feeling.

   My sister died on Mothers' Day 2010, and though it took her days to tell me good-bye, I became very ill around the time she did on the night before she died.
   Several days later, as I was walking across a store parking lot, I heard her tell me good-bye. Goosebumps rose on my arms and my hairs stood on end. I was close to my sister and am still devastated by her loss, but, sometimes, I still sense her presence and the hairs on my arms will stand on end.
