    I just want to kno why u think the apple in the story of adam and eve is actually an apple?

    in my mind atleast god would never punish sumone for eating an apple its just not logical. I think tht the apple is not to be taken literally I think its knowledge why u ask they wud use an apple mabey its the same reason steve jobs used an apple on his product and the snake well there are many culture in the world tht explain thoghly of half reptile half man. and bout ur article on acient aliens is it so crazy tht people are one with aliens we do hav a missing link and I think theres a certain person in the bible th was conceved by a virgin mother nd was visited by n angle werid dont u think

    In the bible, they never mentioned an apple. They just said eating from the tree of knowlege of good and evil. So basically you are right, it's a metaphor,and was never supposed to mean a real fruit of some kind. The rest of your stuff I can't follow.

    Well it depends on whether you look at the story from an allegorical or literal standpoint. Most of the arguments against Christianity I put forth come from a literal reading of the Bible, because that's the way a Fundamentalist Christian would read it.

    The Bible, as far as I know, never actually says it's an apple, it's just the "forbidden fruit" and I'm not sure when it began to be interpreted as an apple but it's a familiar idea in people's minds.

    I don't personally think it is an apple because there is no reference of it in the Word as far as I can tell. What I do believe is that it is fruit that should not have been eaten and if believers or anyone else knew what it was for sure, there would be no market for it. 
    As far as the aliens thing goes... I don't know where you are going with that or what it has to do with the Virgin Mary.
