I definitely would suggest the Philippines. Its Puerto Princesa Underground River is recently included in the provisional list of the new 7 Wonders of the World. I may not have  gone there yet but there are so many amazing stories of experiences from people who have been there.

Surely that depends upon your family?

If you want theme parks, you'd probably go to the US.  If it's "sand, sea and surf" then places like Thailand, Mexico, Hawaii, or even the Black Sea coast might have their attractions.  Or maybe skiing and snowboarding are favored activities, in which case Canada, Switzerland or Chile might have the edge--so to speak.  And so on. . .

Of course, your location and budget also have an awful lot to do with what's 'best' for you and your family!

Of course I would have to suggest that you consider Ireland. You can spend hours visiting castles from centuries ago and in some such as in Athenry Co. Galway you can even dress up and imagine you are one of the high kings of long ago. There are lots of great campsites, the weather never gets too hot and there are loads of great outdoor activities to do also. Take a look at the Cliffs of Mohar or The Great Western Cycle track. Also the Giants Causeway is not to be missed. See my Hub on Co, Louth

All depends on what you want to do and see as every country has something special to offer , Australia has open spaces, amazing wildlife , theme parks , great snorkeling ,
Britain has amazing castles, old homes , beautiful countryside and so on ....,  NZ has Snow, mountains etc.......

I live in Limousin, France and I think you can't do better for a relaxing, outdoor or family holiday than to come here. French sunshine, French wine, French food. Lots to see and do, lots of outdoor activities, great castles, wonderful countryside, good-value accommodation and restaurants, no traffic (outside the big cities), no parking problems, no crime .... need I go on?
