My children and I use lots of thick moisturizer applied to problem areas throughout the day. This usually keeps it from getting worse. If I am having flareups, I do what my dermatologist recommended and rub a little but of Crisco shortening into my skin after a shower and patting the skin partly dry. It is gross, because it is greasy for a bit, but it works better than anything else I've ever tried.
Thanks for sharing. I never tried using Crisco shortening. I think I need to find a rather natural but thick moisturizer to use. The only reason why I prefer natural is to decrease possible allergic reaction or anything that might irritate it. Thanks Again Sheila!
My brother has Eczema and has to use either Eucerin or Vaseline religiously. Not sure if it works for everyone but it seems to work for him.

Which do you prefer, Summer or Winter?Summer; most definitely. Swimming and bikinis on the beach become an everyday possibility. It's the season that causes the forest to grow green and full of life. I LOVE summer!

Are there things to do at ski resorts for non-skiers during the winter?I have only been to one during the summer and there was plenty to do outdoors, but I am not so sure about the winter and would prefer not to be inside during the entire visit.
