If your Psychologist cried about their own issues in your session how would you feel?
I would be like "WTF!?" I came here to solve my problem and not yours.
i will think..their just human like anybody else..they got problem to deal with..and that is hard on their part..they should act like as if everything is ok with them..since their the one who give counselling and crying shoulder..problem shoulder..that is so hard..and the fact they breakdown in public i mean to one of their client..that means something terribly wrong had happened or it is happening to them..
even guidance counsellor or psychologist needs help too
a listener needs to be heard too
an adviser needs some advice too...
we are just humans!!
Many people in the mental health field enter into the profession to sort out or attempt to sort out their own problems. Also, the job can be very stressful. I would be concerned that the therapist is seeking to manipulate me. I would never return to the therapist and refuse to pay for the session.
I would think very seriously if that happened. The problem appears that when the psycologist is a make to female patiant there are often tell tale signs that perhaps change your doctoe. Getting too many complants, repeated toching supposevly used to comfort you or to many examples about his own problems could be telling you that you need to have a serious look at whether you should continue sessions.
I think one might find that situation more with a social worker therapist then with a psychologist because their approach to therapy is so different-although I am sure it is possible. I would really feel cheated if that happened. Therapy is expensive and the last thing I would want on my $100 hour is to hear their problems. But would I have the courage to mention it to him/her?....likely I couldn't but I would not go back.
Annoyed and tell them to get on the job. They are getting paid to hear my problems, NOT the other way around >.>
Very confused and concerned. A psychologist is supposed to know how to deal with difficult situations for themselves and for their clients. Find yourself a different psychologist because if they cannot help themselves, they cannot help you to their full extent.

I have a very simple question and hope some here will share their thoughts. It is very clear that the media, and yes, people in general seem not to have a problem with Joe Biden's propensity to make up stories, or as some see it simple gaffes. Some appear to even just assume what his words mean.The...
