   I imagine my future as a retiree as a full time hobby writer, sitting in glass sheltered verandah of a small wheather-board cottage, looking on endless Indian ocean and let my imagination roam free...

   Depends.  Are you retiring with financial stability or not.  If with financial stability then I think the greatest advantage is the ability to fulfill your dream.  If without financial stability and this is a hard one but I guess you have more time to spent with your love ones

   I retired early.. I'm just lazy.  I just want to work part-time whenever I feel like it.  The greatest advantage for me is being able to sleep in.. I don't have to drag myself out of bed early in the morning.  My dog wakes me up at 9 o'clock in the morning.. good dog!

   Being able to dedicate your time to those things that are important to you (which are hopefully things that make the world a better place somehow).

   If you have ever had dreams to travel or do things you never could because you were working all of the time, then if it is financially possible you should do so.  Take advantage of the free time that you have and enjoy your life to the fullest .

   Taking the time to really see what is around you and hopefully making a difference in the life of another.  Leisure time for my heart's desire.  And, time with family and friends.
