   Can you publish a collection of your Hubs as an ebook without violating "duplicate content" rules?
   
   I have heard people say they are publishing a collection of stories or poems as ebooks. Do they have to remove them from HubPages before publishing as an ebook in order to remain in good standing?

   You should review the rules you agreed to when signing up, it should mention it. If you really want to e-publish, just copy all your posts and delete your hub. But post ing online is considered self-publishing and you can re-publish as much as you want as long as it is your original work. If you publish for someone (say an online magazine) you have to read their rules. This is more of a blog. you're probably safe.

   Technically, you own all the content on your hubs. So you could do whatever you want to do with it: publish it on your blog, offer it as an eBook. Just make sure to mention that this content has already been published and provide a link back to the hubs.

      nope - while you of course have the copyright, you also agreed not to publish the same content elsewhere

   What matters is where the content is published first. If posted first on HubPages, it should be safe to publish as an e-book. You may get a copyright alert from HubPages, but your hubs will not be unpublished and you will not be penalized.
   
   If an e-book has been indexed by search engines (e.g. previews etc), it will not work to subsequently post the same contents on HubPages.
   
   If an e-book is not available for preview and the contents are not accessible to the search engines (e.g. because it is encrypted), there should be no duplicate content issue at all.

      completely false and dangerous for readers who want to maintain their HP membership - read rules you agreed to when  you signed up - when you publish on HP you promised not to provide that content ANYWHERE else.
