Ever Lost Oer 50 pounds? Tell us how you did it!
So many of us in our lifetime has lost weight for one reason or another. Doctors orders, gettin ready for a reunion, fit into that wedding dress or that favorite pair of jeans! Whatever the reason, we all look for motivation and the key to someone else's success of dropping those unwanted pounds. For those who have had to lose 50 pounds or more, tell us how you did it and if you have managed to keep the weight off and for how long.
Yes, back in the 1980's for a local amateur bodybuilding competition. The 80's was the era of "bulking up" to get stronger and build more muscle. Losing the fat was a combination of weight training, cardio and healthy eating.
Started burning fat at 20 weeks out from contest day. One day a week we had a cheat day then 12 weeks out we followed a very strict no cheat meal policy. Discipline was the key yet when you have a goal to aim for it becomes easier.
Came 2nd place and I was the very proud owner of a single digit body fat physique. The principles we used in those days are what I teach my clients today because losing weight is all about body composition. Bodybuilders are the masters at holding onto muscle while they melt off all their fat.
Unfortunately the majority of people are losing weight the wrong way, but I am trying to change that 1 person at a time:)
I won't post the link to it but you can go to my profile and do a search for
The Cabbage Soup Diet Information Page
and you will find the new and improved cabbage soup diet. Its a easy diet to follow and it will really take the weight off of you. If you add in walking on a regular basis you can help the weight loss along and if you continue walking and doing the cabbage soup diet you can easily drop 60 pounds. Right now I'm walking and doing the cabbage soup diet every third day and I've lost 57 pounds so far. So yes it will work if you'll stick to it.
But if your able add in walking along with the cabbage soup diet and you will drop the weight in a hurry. Continue walking even after you stop doing the cabbage soup diet and the weight will stay off. You really can walk yourself thin if your determined enough.
I have not, but my mother has. Anyone who knows my mother knows that motivation is something she seriously lacks. When a friend of hers showed significant weight loss, mom asked how she did it. Her friend responded, "Weight Watchers." Mom decided to try it and lost a significant amount of weight and even dropped out of the pre-diabetic zone. I don't know if it costs the same everywhere. Here it is $12/wk. She gained the weight back when she quit the program. Lost it again when she returned to the program. Mom apparently needs someone to be accountable to. Either way, as long as you can make a life style switch, which being on the program should help to do as I have heard it takes like twenty eight days to develop a new habit, you should be okay.
I lost 50 pounds by changing my diet and walking my dog every day I walked him I live in a small town so I walked for miles a day the weight eventually fell off. I aslo lowerd my sugar intake I never counted carbs just cut sugar and exersized

A few weeks ago I started playing ping pong (table tennis) because my neighbor gave me one, since then I've been losing weight in a good manner. I was 187 pounds(I'm 6 feet tall) and now I'm at 178-180) that means it's 3.5 pounds/week which is a good rate at my age, not doing an extreme diet. Soon...
