Have you ever performed on stage and if so did people enjoy it?
When I was a kid, I was an active participant with two different dance companies. I started with one, then was participating with both at the same time, and then stopped going to the first one as I enjoyed the second one more over time. At the end of the year, there were always on stage performances that I participated in with the class.
Other than that, I also played the violin in elementary, middle, and high school. There were also end of the year performances with those as well that I also participated in with the rest of the group(s).
Overall, the people that attended seemed to enjoy them and they were often recorded. I still have most of those recordings too.
I have not, however, performed on a stage by myself so if that's more of what your question is referring to, then I'm not able to speak to that.
In junior high and high school I sang quite a few solos and duets on stage during concerts and talent shows. I won a few awards, so I guess people enjoyed it! My two favorite performances were when I sang a solo "My Heart Will Go On" and a duet "Vivo Per Lei" (Italian duet by Andrea Bocelli).
I also played the piano on numerous occasions, but I loved to sing much more.
I have acted in live theater and when I was a teenager I played bass guitar in a rock band. I believe there is something to the belief about an audience, big or small, giving the performer an energy that can be felt. I enjoyed myself and I think my audiences enjoyed the effort too........ although I suppose it is possible they were just being polite....I think my memory of the events, where I come so close to stardom, are more fun so that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Yes, in high school and no, I don't think anyone enjoyed it. My boyfriend at that times talked me into singing a song I know was not right for my voice - It was a Joan Baez song, Man of Constant Sorrow. I butchered it - still to this day get red-faced thinking of it.
Yes, I have performed on stage many times. My husband and I are singers for the Lord. Yes, the audience really liked it. We sing Classical and Religious music. He is an Opera singer, he is a Verdi Bass. He performs most of Verdi's Operas. He has performed at the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall in NY and many others.

Hello, guys. I'm sure there are a lot of you who have travelled the world around... As a travel freak myself, I always learn something new. So my question is: What is the one tip you'd like give the fellow travellers? It's hard to ask that, but... Just one.

I'm a newbie here in HP and I'm curious. I've looked through the threads and I'm sure this topic hasn't arisen before. Does anyone here actually enjoy watching Saw, the movies. I've lost count how many there are now. If you've watched them, did you enjoy them and why? If you didn't enjoy them...
