How do you like to start your weekend or day off?

If the weather is nice I enjoy getting up early and making the most of the peace and quiet. If it's miserable and cold out, I'll enjoy crawling back into bed with my coffee to listen to the radio - quietly so as not to wake anyone else up.

regardless of the day I spend some time focusing on positive thoughts as I believe that if we wake up positive, our days tend to go better.  I engage in meditation or simply being mindful.  This is of course followed by a cup of coffee to keep me positive wink

I love waking up after a good nights sleep and seeing the sun shine in the window and lying there for a bit, not feeling rushed and just feeling good about greeting the day.  On days off I look forward to laying there a bit longer wink lol.

My weekend day, so to speak is Thur. I work the actual weekend. Everyday starts off with wonderment. I sleep in my chair in the living room, awaken opening the blinds next to it, and there are the hummingbirds feeding in the wee morning hour. On Thur I will just watch 'em, then glance to my fish on occasion, and finally make some coffee. I move slow on that day. Eventually I take a walk to see if there are new flowering plants outside. The neighbors think me crazy (jk) as I wander about coffee in hand in PJ bottoms, T-shirt and maybe a sweat shirt. I am looking for insects - butterflies mainly. I guess what I am saying is I just have fun.

I like to wake up at whatever time I wake up, have my coffee and a little breakfast.  If its a nice day, I like to go hiking.  Or just stay home, relax and maybe sit on my laptop and write/read, watch family guy, hehe and organize my things.

I like to start it off by going to the gym. I will have a little oatmeal, two glasses of water and my vitamins and head over to the gym. Nothing beats going to the gym at six in the morning when it is empty. I also swim, so that is another way I will generally start my day. I find that it will be a better day in general when I start it with a work out.

I like to keep busy on my day off, but its also nice to be able to do things at your own pace, rather than rush around all the time. I like waking up and the nice feeling of not having to get up, it calms you down, puts you in a better mood.

My husband hardly takes a day off and he's out the door by 6 AM so we never sit down for breakfast together so when he does take a day off I love to cook him and the kids breakfast. (at 11 AM) Then watch cartoons.

By waking up without an alarm. It is from Heaven, I asure you! Then leasurely remain in bed until I feel particularly lazy but definately awake. Then I grab my laptop (beside my bed or on the desk down the hall) and get online to check my email, get on facebook, and watch netflix. If I'm hungry, I'll start some coffee and pop some pop-corn or just cook some salmon or go to Chick-Fil-A with my dozens of coupons. It depends on how I am that day to what I want to eat. Then I remain in bed until I need to get up and do something. Then I go out to my desk, laptop still in hand, and check my online classes. Do a little homework, write a bit, and enjoy the rest of the day.

I like to let my body tell me when it's time to wake up and get out of bed, as during the week it's done according to the alarm. Yuck.

Then I just take things slowly and enjoy the peace that comes with knowing I do not have to work according to a schedule this day.

Same as you, Debbie.  Nice day, up early to enjoy the sunrise.  Crappy weather, back to bed with my coffee and a book until it's time for a nap. (Reading is such hard work sometimes!) ;D
