How much would you spend at a vets to try and save your dog or cats life?

Would you set a limit, or would you spend whatever it took to try and save your pets life, even if it meant great hardship for you and your family?

A cat I helped take care of reached her 20th year and she became ill and I took her to the vet for a $200 blood test.  She was in a lot of discomfort and we were advised there really wasn't anything that could be done.  We would have incurred that cost regardless if we felt it would make a difference.  Good question.

I would spend as much as I could afford and then try to figure out a way to get the care I needed for my pets that I could not afford.

My two kitties are insured so i won't really have to make the decision between paying the bills or saving my cat. With that said i would spare no expense to make them healthy again even if they had no insurance.

Probably more than I could afford if it meant taking good care of my dog. Luckly I have good insurance so it isn't an issue.

If I had the money, I'd spend it all. I have borrowed money to save my dogs life once, well over $2000. I'd find a way to get the money, I have a huge soft spot for dogs, they mean the world to me.

I really don't even want to think about a dollar limit to save my pet.  I would be devastated if I did not have the finances to save my cat or dogs life.

Depends on how young the pet is, and how much money I have. I'm not super rich but I would probably spend a few thousand dollars to help my cat get better if it meant it could live out the rest of its life feeling good.
