Are the Democrats/Republicans more concerned what is best for the country or themselves? Why?
So tired of all the political attacks from one party to the other, but is is not the goal for the candidate to be more concerned with The United States and what is best for this country, upholding the constitution and Liberty for all? Are both parties both not selfish in their agenda, or is one more right than the other? What is really most important in an election and what should stay out of the political topics, what should stay in?
There is little to no difference between the Republicans and Democrats. They both serve the interests of the wealthy elite. We need to transition out of this absurd system once and for all.

I get the impression from those elected officials who I know for certain are not in D.C. largely for personal gain is that they are out numbered by those who are. This makes it so important to me, therefore, to elect and send those who genuinely want to serve there for the good of the citizens of this country. They need a very strong inner integrity like this to stand up against all the temptations there.
I believe that it's not the Senators or Representatives who are more concerned about themselves; it is advertising and marketing moguls who have a very low estimation of the American's intellectual ability; and it is we ourselves who convince them that the only way for us to click on an ad or attend to a fact, is to make it in a sound-bite, glitzy, and/or confrontational. No Senator or Representative (or at least very few in my view) takes his or her role lightly. They are privy to information regarding threats to our country, impacts to our environment, and problems that impact the welfare of constituents. They have children and grandchildren. They know the impact of their actions on society as no other group. To hammer out legislation, detail after boring detail, to attend to the nitty gritty of creating laws is a task that all of us criticize and few would want to undertake. I saw, in action, how the Bureau for Hearing Impaired in Madison, Wisconsin was first set up by a tireless state representative and a leader in the deaf community; I saw how an interpreter friend of mine who became a MN legislator fought for TTYs to be airports so that hearing impaired individuals had access in the 80s before cellphones to be able to call friends and family when traveling. I watched from afar in the 60s how Civil Rights legislation was written by members of Congress who are still there and fighting for all of our rights. I don't agree with views of the right at all, but I will never stop believing that at the heart of most people who serve in this capacity, whether Democrat or Republican is the intention of making our country a better place in which to live.

Are Democrats and Republicans the same party? If you look at the facts, you can see many similarities between Republicans and Democrats. One is they both get funding from Goldman Sachs. Why would the same people fund both parties? Both parties agree with The Federal Reserve printing money, going...
