Why are hubbers so fake ? is it money
I presume most of you guys are yanks, and i´m new here from the uk but just through reading the forums I have to wonder why is it you are all so politically correct with your answers and thank you messages, it´s really sweet but totally false, is it because you want to make money and are scared to say what you really feel, I mean jesus is 50 dollars a month enough to not express yourselves as individuals.
My thank you messages are never fake. Some of us appreciate the time someone takes to answer a question. I'm on here for fun. I write many hubs that can't even have ads. The opinions of me here mean nothing because no one here will ever really know me. I guess some of us are genuine some are fake isn't that life everywhere?
What I'd love to know is what's a yank? Please let me know, LOL...
Well, I'm Canadian, so I have an excuse.
I'm genuinely interested in my readers. I have the same hobbies as most of them. And I'm old enough to know that most people have different opinions about things. I'm more interested in understanding why they think and feel the things they do than proving that I'm right. Getting into uncivilized arguments with people might seem like it's 'keeping it real', but 99% of the time it's just self-interested ego-boosting. How is that any better than being 'politically correct'?
For example, if I wasn't such a nice guy, I'd accuse you of trolling. But I'm nice, so I won't. See how that works?
Don't come here with that posh talk you nasty stuck up twit!
Can't be the money. Some people make a little extra here, but it takes a lot of time and work if that is the main motivation.
Many of us are "yanks", since HP started here-- but I think we have many from the UK, India, Europe, Australia, NZ, and almost every part of the world. I would guess that non-Americans are a majority, though not sure.
As for tagging the people here as "fake", I would say a lot of people are able to express themselves in a very genuine way.
As you said, you are new so perhaps you have not done a lot of reading. Your question may be 'genuine' but might not be the best way to introduce yourself here, since you have not posted a hub yet. You have an advantage-- no one can make general assumptions about you.
I hope we get a chance to see the real you through your writing. Good luck and welcome to HubPages.
Hmmm another snobbish European....is that nice enough? Yup I am in this for the money. That's why I am up to 15 cents. Take that and drive it down the left side of your road.
Seriously, though- I imagine some people are doing it for those reasons, but it seems to be a minority. A few people wanted to follow me and left generic comments about my hubs. I imagine they may just be trying to get followers. However, a lot of us seem to like to write and it is a forum for just that. So since it is a community of writers, why be mean?
Most of all, I enjoy writing and seeing what is popular. I am new to all this, but it amazes me that my one article on Sean Bean is the one that has taken off (and by taking off I mean almost 50 people have looked at it (!) haha).
I have always written a lot, and it is nice to know that at least a a few people are reading it.
Why would you come here, new the Hubpages and want to create problems? Why are Hubbers so fake? - well there are thousands of hubbers so that is quite a generalization. I'm sure there are a little of both here- fake and genuine.
As far as the forums, I'm not sure which one you dropped by but the ones I have visited have been really nasty with venom and attacks on religion, political correctness etc. Keep looking I'm sure you will find one in which you will be "comfortable."
$50 a month? Oh good grief, hardly. Fifty dollars a month would be welcome but is more like .36 at this point.
Wait a minute!--some people make $50 a month on this site?! I'm practically dancing around in a clown suit on Hubpages for pennies--literally, pennies! Not that there's anything wrong with being a clown...I use the term, "painted comedic-arts professional".
I'm from Australia.
And I think the fact that most members are writers adds to the level of socialisation used in the forums - none of that "Whatevs, sup man, ru ok?"
And I earn more than $50 a month.

Are you comfortable with flirting? Why or why not?Studies show that women initiate flirting 90% of the time. Although men seem to do most of the pursuing, they actually do so because they perceive that women invited their advances through flirting. As an aside, flirtatious people have higher white...

In my years on this site I have seen so many people randomly follow me in hopes that I follow them back. And then as soon as I do, if the topics they write on interest me, they delete me from the hubbers they're following?Do you guys really think this makes people want to read and comment on...

Lately, I've had several comments from other hubbers who leave a link to their hubs. For example, let's say they read my hub on "Appaloosas." They leave a comment like "Great hub. To learn more about horses, read this:..." Then they leave a link to their hub about Quarter...
