    A Jewish wife asks her husband, "Why can't you sleep?"
    "I owe Yakob 100 shillings I cannot pay."
    She rises, bangs on the wall their apartment shares with Yakob's family. "Yakob, you shmeck, we're never going to pay you that 100 shillings because you are cheating us!"
    The wife returns to bed. "There. Now you can sleep, and Yakob will be up the rest of the night."
