With it getting into spring what vegetables are you planning on growing this year?

Their are so many options I was just wandering what people are planning on growing this year, and what techniques they plan on using.

Carrots, tomatoes, radishes, peas, it's been trial and error over the past few years seeing what grows best where we live.

I only have a tiny back yard here in this rental, so I will have tomatoes and green peppers.

We are already eating our green onions this year! Had some with supper tonight. Yum! We have also eaten some of our spinach greens in a salad. We have planted our garlic, potatoes, green beans, black-eyed peas, and squash.  So far our cucumbers aren't looking too good...not all of them are coming up yet. I may have to buy some small plants to re-plant as I can't wait to make more of our pickles. We have planted our jalapeno peppers, banana and bell peppers. All of our tomato plants are doing well so far. Tomatoes are my favorite! We planted our okra last and it is already coming up. I tried some lettuce this year, but I think I planted it too deep. Very little of it has come up. I will have to do better next year. Our garden plot is approximately 30 x 50 feet. This is about all I can manage to keep up with.  Happy Gardening! smile

I plan to grow green peppers, eggplant and hot peppers.  I expect to dig up the ground and adding new soil.  Watering my vegetable and try to keep the bugs away.  I will put miracle grow on them too.

This year we're going to try cucumbers and kale.  I would love to grow peppers but they keep getting atttacked by mealy bugs and I'm trying to keep the garden organic.

I'm definitely going to be planting cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and zucchini. Those are all vegetables that are family favourites, and have done well for me in previous years. Other possibilities for this year's garden include garlic, onions, spinach, lettuce and beans.

It looks as if we are going to get a jump on warm weather, and that makes it an excellent year to grow watermelon.
