How is the Hub of the day chosen?
I have read many intriguing hubs, but the hub of the day selection always seems random to me. Any idea how they are selected?
I guess they are selected based on the category, uniqueness and the amount of views and comments that hub is able to generate. All topics are not created equally I guess. This is just my opinion.
Hub of the Day is selected on many factors including interesting subject matter, good writing, and a good format.
I agree with internetgeek's answer. If you want to know more, visit: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Hub-of-the-Day . It's the HubPages official article on the program.
This was excellent. Thank you. I had missed it when I looked for the answer.
I wonder why the best hubs seem so often to be recipes and handicrafts. That seems pretty superficial.
Do "they" read every hub that is posted?
All I know about Hub of the day is that I never had a hub selected as hub of the day. I guess I have so far not produced a world class hub. However, I take solace in the fact that I have had several "featured" articles at another writing site which is similar to "the hub of the day" I guess I did my best writing there and I don't have much "juice"left for HP. However, I am sure there are way too many top notch articles on HP so all can't be published as Hub of the Day. Many are called few are chosen.
I have had 2 hubs of the day, and I can tell you that it had nothing to do with how many views they got before being chosen, they were both seasonal crafts with photos I took myself. I actually wrote a hub about it if you want to know more of my thoughts about it. One thing is, it has to have a eye catching photo they can feature.
As I look back at the, the photo seems to be the most important part.

There have been so may forum threads and posts (some quite offensive to HOD authors), that I would suggest the HOD should be selected by readers votes.Under the "useful, funny, etc." chain, a link: "Vote" would allow a reader to vote for the hub as HOD.The hub that...
