Prayer Changes things... While I am not a Prosperity Gospel person.. I will be the first to show people that often times there is a correlation between sin and rejection of God and His plans for a persons life... and their lives being in financial ruin.  If a person wants wealth for personal uses... with no higher interest... then the Verse comes to mind...
"Ye have not because you ask not.. and when you ask.. you ask so that you may consume it upon your own lusts."

People ask God for financial Blessings.. but they do not seek to glorify him or use it for his purposes... but instead use it for their own personal wants... and the result is the Removal of His Blessings.

After getting the Vertical lines of Blessing Straightened out... the next thing is to pray about how to solve the next part of the problem... and be patient until the Lord shows you the way... in His time.

I think I'm in trouble then because I've been praying earnestly to God to let me win the jackpot lottery, and I've been buying tickets. I'm serious. If I win I prayed to God I would donate a lot to charities but it would also make things better.

To solve a financial problem without obtaining more money coming in is difficult. My husband and I had this struggle. We thought more about how to bring in more money than to figure out how to work with what money we have. So we sat down with all of our bills and figured out which bills were an absolute necessity. In doing that, we eliminated a few hundred dollars a month off of our bills by getting rid of the wants and keeping the needs. We got rid of cable, which we hardly ever used anyway. We got rid of extra services on our cell phones that we didn't need. By doing this, you are lowering your monthly bills, and it will create more money in your pocket. And in doing this, you lower the stress of trying to come up with a way to earn more money.

If possible avoid trap of taking loan offers as they maybe very appealing.
Try for alternative ways to  survive- consider your talents eg can one of your hobies, interests or experiences be cashed in? so long as they are legal, moral and ethical, go for them, and good luck

Giving a helping hand. You will never know when others will come to your aid in the future.

You help people and others will return the favors later part of your life.

First, stop spending, especially on credit cards.! Purchase only the things you need to get by ie. grocery staples, and general bills.
Second, See what marketable assets you have that you can part with. Sell off those items that you don't need. Drive less and make necessary purchases from discount retailers. House sit, pet sit, or babysit for extra cash if possible.
Third, if you are having trouble with creditors, call them and arrange for a reasonable payment plan. They'll appreciate the fact that you are making an effort.
As a last resort, file for bankruptcy.

Take advantage of free community entertainment. Learn how to stretch your food dollars. Reduce your heating /cooling bills by shutting off parts of the house you don't use. Rent out a spare room if kids are grown. Offer your skills and services within your own neighborhood w/ an inexpensive flyer.

Well, if you don't have any money that means you don't spend it.  If you don't spend money i.e. like a credit card, then you get to keep more of it.  Does that make sense?  In other words, don't spend what you don't have and that means living below your means and not accumulating credit card debt.  If you pay off your credit card debt then your financial situation will improve.
