    Just take a look at Linda and my lists! smile  Just kidding, I think the number one thing that annoys me is miscommunication, but that is to be blamed on both parties if you are willing to admit it.  Great question Michelle!

      Ha ha...well said, Josh. You're the ones who inspired this question! Your lists are a perfect complement to your comment, and show that what you've just said is so true!

      Josh! I was thinking the same thing about our "lists!" smile
      My biggest pet peeve is over-inflated egos. Great question Michelle!

    Slurping cereal or soup drives me nuts! I don't know why, but it's disgusting to me.

      I know why, it's the lack of etiquette!

    Rudeness and blatant disrespect make me not want anything to do with a person.

    I really don't like people who lie, especially when they do it to make themselves look better than they really are. If someone can't just be themselves, I don't usually have time for them.

      I so agree. A person who fakes it is certainly not easy to get along with.

    Idiots turn me off...opposite sex or not...

    Idiots are as follow;
    The "trying hard" to be what they are not or the pretenders who cannot accept what they are and who they are because they actually don't know; these are the ones who had not outgrown their adolescence stage of identity crisis; such that in their adulthood and middle age they are telling everyone and trying to prove that they are philosophers but actually are unschooled ignorant who had not studied one subject in any of the ten branches of philosophy as shown in their fallacious and inconsistent reasoning and statements; they are actually living a terribly entangled life in all areas, especially in their relationships as a manifestation of their personal truth; these are the people I get rid of.

    Another is the pathological liars who insist on their lies defensively even if all logical evidences and educated situational analysis consistently point out their lies;
    The psychotic loners whose main world of action for socialization and excitement is the internet world;
    and last but not least...the womanizers and "slut puppies" whether virtual or actual and whose brain and values system is "below the belt"...

      True. People who philosophise  interpersonal technique  but whose relationships are not working are not ones to respect.

    Seeing them smoking as they stink of smoke and it is dangerous for non smokers to be near them as second hand smoke is bad for you .
    They might look nice but once they pull out a smoke you know you won't be spending anytime with them.

      Agree with this. Passive smoke is more dangerous than the real deal.

    Of course liars and arrogant people are hated the world over, but just the other day I was having lunch with a fine lady that thought nothing of talking with her mouth full of food. Every 4 words of so, she shot "mouth missiles" on the table and even onto my plate. I did not say anything, but I think it will be a long time before I dine with her again.

    So, there you have it, talking with one's mouth full of food is what I consider to be a bad habit in the opposite sex and a complete turn-off to boot.

    Rudeness and aggressiveness, for sure. In my opinion no man should ever hit a woman and if they did, they will do it again sooner or later hmm.
    Also, being stupid on so many levels is a huge turn-down as well.

    Disrespecting themselves and others. For example, slapping someone's butt, getting your own butt slapped, posting risky pictures online, mistreating the opposite (or same) gender, and just being rude and disrespectful.

      I can relate to this. Used to have students who did it all the time and we had to use all means to weed it out.

    I don't know if it's the worst habit, but I dislike it when someone (a guy, in this case) repeatedly uses poor grammar and spelling in their communication. It doesn't come across in speech as obviously many times, but if someone can't be bothered to learn the difference between their/there/they're and/or says, "Him and me did such and such," continuously, I'll admit it's a bit of a turnoff for me. I try to be understanding for mistakes (because everyone, including me, makes them), but I do expect a certain level of articulateness.
